An Old Farmer's Advice:
* Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.
* Keep skunks and bankers and lawyers at a distance.
* Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.
* Words that soak into your ears are whispered... not yelled.
* Meanness don't jes' happen overnight.
* Forgive your enemies. It messes up their heads.
* Do not corner something that you know is meaner than you.
* It don't take a very big person to carry a grudge.
* You cannot unsay a cruel word.
* Every path has a few puddles.
* When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.
* The best sermons are lived, not preached.
* Most of the stuff people worry about ain't never gonna happen anyway.
* Don't judge folks by their relatives.
* Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
* Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll enjoy it a second time.
* Don't interfere with somethin' that ain't botherin' you none.
* Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.
* If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin'.
* Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.
* The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with, watches
you from the mirror every mornin'.
* Always drink upstream from the herd.
* Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.
* Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin' it back in.
* If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around.
* Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to your God

Good evening, Victoria. Hope you had a good day. Tennis sounds like great exercise.
Wonderful selection by Elvis. Thank you.
I'm heading for bed very soon; I was up at 3:30 this morning trying to get on-line. Finally called my ISP and used dial up to post some replies and the welcome.
Later I called Direcway and resolved the satellite problem.
I think I'm still having trouble with Fotki; I haven't tried McAfee again.
See you tomorrow.

Chocoholics Dream
Topped with whipped cream
starts with sugar and cocoa
add farm-fresh milk
stir, stir, stir
as spoon click, click, clicks
against the pan
luscious aroma rises
as chocolate concoction
bubbles in boisterous frenzy.
What else mama added
slips from my mind,
for I now use the packaged kind.
mixture thickens, so creamy, light
time to cool, out of sight.
Fluffy topping begins
with pure, sweet cream
from sweet speckled cow,
our Jersey queen.
Divided from milk
by a noisy machine
that only Daddy can run. .
As beaters whir,
whipping begins
great mounds appear
from liquid mass
small, soft peaks like
mountain tops, rise
from the luscious froth
slightly sweetened
mellowed via vanilla
Now two bowls
full to the brim
one, chocolate pudding
other, fluffy whipped cream.
Pudding goes first
into dessert dish,
leave room for a crown
of whiteness atop.
First spoonful smooth,
soft and creamy, flavored
fruit of the cocoa bean,
meshes with
white delectable cream
gentle, robust sensation.
Chocoholics anticipation,
sublime gratification.

The deep sensation, of the cocoa relation,
let's you explore the exaggeration of your Imagination.
Dropping out all the procrastination of the entire nation.
You get tuned to you own station.
Just find out and make your proclamation.
Everyday you'll have the anticipation,
but never fail for the imitation.
There should be no implication of inhumation just for
the sweet sensation of...
Chocolate Pudding

Love One Another
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7
Bible In One Year: Joel 1-3
|
Brandon Moody was attending his uncle D. L. Moody's church on Easter morning. The final scene in the impressive pageant was a depiction of Jesus' ascension into heaven. The actor who was playing Jesus was being hoisted by stagehands through an opening in the ceiling. But when he was halfway up, they lost their grip and down came the actorthankfully uninjured. With amazing presence of mind, the actor said to the shocked congregation, "And one more thing. Love one another."
Love was so important to Jesus that He told His disciples shortly before His arrest and crucifixion, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another . . . . By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:34-35). John, known as the disciple whom Jesus loved (and the man who recorded these words of Jesus), wrote much about love in his first letter. Several times in chapter 4, the apostle urged his fellow believers to "love one another" (1 John 4:7,11-12). No matter what is happening in our lives, let's make Jesus' commandment and John's exhortation our mission statement: "Love one another." Vernon Grounds
