After reading "Closet Guy Blues", I was afraid to read any other poems. Are they all based on wierd happenings?

Yes but not as weird as that one except sister blues. Read Buffalo Blues it is funny and tame.

Thank you for the heads up. I read Buffalo Blues earlier today. You're hot, er, poetry-writing hot.

The tunes are all the same. The basic blues is always the same tune.
Read a line, then the guitar harmonica lick until you hit the chorus where there is a standard blues tune.

Oh, yeah. One of my friends and I (she came from a musical family) sat in the car one night during the summer as teenagers and made up blues songs. It was fun. (I'd get bored and start going out the prescribed blues notes and she would correct me.)

Wahwah Wahwah is the end of each line.
The chorus is harder.
I sat in a Blues Club in Atlanta one night and wrote some Yuppie Blues tunes then sang them with the house band.
I got heavy applause and laughs from the crowd.
I did Yuppie Blues, BMW Blues, Perrier Blues, etc. They would let me do one then call me back up in 30 minutes or so to do another. The leader of the house band told me I was one wigged out funny white boy.
Singing the Blues is very therapeutic.
