Hello again...& Welcome to ATRW for Tues., Apr. 19!

As the week continues....

John Bolton's name is set to be sent to the Senate Floor for confirmation as UN Ambassador...

Longtime Republican Cong. from Illinois, Henry Hyde announced his retirement at term's end.

For the first time in 4 weeks, gasoline prices at the pump have dropped...a few cents.

An Iraqi Maj. General and his son were assassinated late Monday returning to Baghdad from Madain.

And the Cardinals met for the first day of their deliberations with no new Pope selected.

We Will Not Tire, We Will Not Falter, and We Will not Fail!

Every one of us should be so fortunate as to have a great uncle Floyd who emails us words of wisdom!

Years ago, when a friend was bemoaning the fact that she had just turned 40, she was dumbfounded when I told her to "Be happy and rejoice". She asked me "Why should I be 'happy' about growing old?" Instead of asking her "What is the alternative?" my answer was "Now, you can do anything YOU want to do or say, and others will excuse it by saying 'she's just an old broad'. LOL

LOL! How true.

Uncle Floyd is a joy. He is 88 years young, still chops wood, goes for rides in ultralights and drive across country to see relatives. His favorite t-shirt says:

"When I die I want to go peacefully in my sleep just like Grandad did.

NOT screaming in terror like the passengers in his car."

If you are not familiar with the history of filibusters you may be surprised by what is in my new column. You will not read the truth about filibusters in the main stream media.

I think the democrats are bringing in everyone they can think of trying to blacked Mr. Bolton's name. They sit and blab and blab, finally getting to their question after 9 minutes. I think they've become unhinged, not that I believe all of them are hinged.

It has been a sad week for me, but I must say, there was news to cheer me today!!!

I heard that AIR (ERR)AMERICA radio is going down the tubes!!!!!!

I do hope that the "potty mouth" Al Franken goes away....far, far away.

Good Morning. I had a rough night last night. I took a Tylenol PM at 9:00, went to bed at 9:15 and was still awake at midnight.

NOW the Tylenol PM is working. I am groggy and dragging.

We had a rain shower this morning. Just enough to wash the dust off everything.

The sun is shining now, but it is very humid. Sort of like a July morning. It was 71 at 8:00 am.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hello. I finished an assignment and got it sent off. Now, I can play. All the relatives have gone back off to their homes. I seem strangely unfocused at the moment.

For the nonce, I will enjoy listening to Mr. Cheney at the OKC Memorial. Then, I'll look at my flowers some. Later today, I have a few things to begin. Prayers are for the Cardinals in the Cistine Chapel.
