Children's Day

What's going on with Children's Day?
Did I miss a memo or a meeting while away?
While on vacation or at play?
Someone please fill me in... What's the score?

They are most precious resource.
We'll go through every option and recourse.
To make sure they're happy, loved and cared for.
Well educated, mannered and fed. Though not badly led.

As comfortable with social interaction.
Not to mention adverbs, nouns, decimals and fractions.
Parsing sentences and being with the World so at ease.
That in their purse of pocket there's coins and a comb.

They are a full time job. A career, if you please.
So always do your best. Never let it rest.
And remember that they might soon be footing the bill.
For your Golden Years in a Retirement Home.

Aren't those two little girls the prettiest things! I love that sweet poem, too. I always look forward to and read at leastthe opening daily poems/graphics here, even if I don't respond - dont like to miss them. :) Amy does such a wonderful job putting everything together and keeping the Place so hospitable!

Today is also Calendar Day and Obnoxious Day but I chose to celebrate Children's Day. I wasn't sure that I could find a graphic for obnoxious. :)
