Thanks, FRee. In that first one it looks like I am praying for something different to show up on my plate. LOL. I am not a fan of Salmon or goat cheese, which is what the chicken was stuffed with. The potatoes were wonderful though! And the company was even better. :-)

Marissa loved the salmon. But she likes fish. She ordered steak tonight and brought most of it home. Guess what she is having for lunch tomorrow?

I enjoyed looking at all the pictures that were taken. Just wish that I had been out of the room a couple of times. :)

Young ladies must know when they are expected to act like ladies rather than tomboys.
When we got out of the car she held Uncle JAjr's hand and walked instead of skipped into the restaurant. Then she told him that she would follow the lady.
I think she learned something on our trip. :)

Thanks for the travel advice. I appreciate it. No kids to travel with, so dates are wide open.

For all of those who had my Great Aunt on their prayer lists - Thank you. I just wanted to report that she passed away this afternoon.
To: tuliptree76
I am saddened to hear of your Great-Aunt's passing, Miss Tulip. Please accept my condolences.
I hape her passing was peaceful, dignified, and comfortable, as I hope and pray it will be for all of us.
Among your duties to the fallen, remember this duty to yourself as well, to recall the good and happy times, and to remember your loved one as they would wish you to remember them. -- Silent and still is for photographs, memories should be of laughter and joy.

Harvesting Joy
Can one grow tired of too much happiness, too much joy, too much bliss?
Would you wish for a more quiet moment, if the world would give you this?
All our happiness comes in bunches, like the harvest for the feast,
And we all give grateful thank-yous from the greatest to the least.
The rising swell of Natures bounty will be followed by a trough,
And the day of laughing hearty is soon followed by a cough.
All these things are in a balance, day is followed by the night.
But that portends just as truly, that great darkness yields to bright.
If you find yourself in doldrums, theres a zephyr coming soon,
And the path in utter darkness will be glistened by the moon.
Baking days of Summer sunshine will be chilled by Winter snow,
And the tiny leaves of Springtime, slowly turn to gold, you know.
Life is filled with passing patterns, first the bitter, then the sweet,
And the sadness of a parting is forgotten when we meet.
Save the moments of your treasures, hold them in your bosom tight,
That in darkness of their leaving, youll be glowing by their light.
Take the time from Summers harvest, to distill a warming brew,
Of the sweetness you remember, when the Winter threatens you.
In the darkness of December, light a candle for the time,
That the Springtime of your journey was so brilliant and sublime.

Picking Daisies
Read: Romans 8:31-39
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! 1 John 3:1
Bible In One Year: Exodus 8-10
I can recall when in grade school my eyes first met those of a brown-eyed girl seated a couple of rows away from me. It's hard to put into words, but something happened. It was my first case of "puppy love." Those were the days when we'd take a daisy and pluck off its petals one by one, all the while saying with a certain person in mind, "She loves me, she loves me not." Oh, how it hurt when the daisy's last petal was "she loves me not."
This reminds me of a little girl who came running into the house one morning, sobbing. "What's wrong, dear?" her mother asked. Throwing herself into her mother's arms, she cried, "God doesn't love me anymore." "Of course He does," the mother said reassuringly. "No, He doesn't," the child sobbed. "I know He doesn't because I tried Him with a daisy."
The only reliable way to know that God loves us is to consider everything He does for us each day. And if there's still any doubt, think of what He did to save us! The Bible says, "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
We can be confident of God's unfailing love because He has proven it beyond all question. Yes, His love is a sure thing. Richard De Haan
I am so glad that our Father in heaven
Tells of His love in the Book He has given;
Wonderful things in the Bible I see
This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me. Bliss
God loves each one of us as if there were but one of us to love.

What A Day
What a Day, what a day, what a beautiful day;
When we see our Lord Jesus face to face.
Just imagine the joy that there is going to be
When we see our Jesus some sweet day.
Oh what a day, what a beautiful day!
I hear angels singing, and welcoming us in..
We'll rejoice to see our loved ones then.
It's been so long since they've been gone;
Now I've come, they're welcoming me home.
What a Day, what a day this has been!
I'm so glad, so very glad that Jesus loved me.
He rescued me, and set me free
To love and worship him... What would I have done?
Had I gone the other way, I'd never known this beautiful day.
What a day, what a day, what a grand and glorious day;
What a wonderful day this has been.
Thank you Jesus for bearing all my sin.
I will sing your praises both night and day.
"What a Day", What a Grand and Glorious Day this has been!

Nope.
Haven't thawed yet.
Is it bad when I can feel cold air drafting from my OWN skin?

No cold air drafting from my skin, just little ice cubes where my toes used to be.
