Hello Amy and Crew! Beautiful poem and graphic today!

I found this beautiful poem on one of my recent cyber journeys. I hope you dont mind that I post it here. I do not know who wrote it.... But I think you will agree it deserves a spot of recognition this holiday season!!!

May god watch over our troops and protect them always.

"Santa don't cry, this life is my choice;
I fight for freedom, I don't ask for more,
My life is my God, my country and my corps."
and with all due respects to the Major, I add.....
America, my country-men,
Our flag is our life.....
We've accepted your ancestors
Through struggle, through strife...
We've come a long way,
Yes, a long way to go....
But we're out here defending,
The life that you know.
What you believe,
Is not my concern,
I carry my weapon.....
American learns....
I'm proud to serve you,
Wherever I'm sent,

Been a long day.

I'm back, too. :)

I was in the dentist's chair for 90 minutes today. I had a cavity under a crown, so had to remove the crown, fix the cavity and take imprints for a new crown.

I didn't get much else accomplished; I was ready to come home.

Hope the Novacaine wore off by the time you got home.

Almost ..... at least I was able to take a swallow of water without dribbling it all over me.

I either get sick to my stomach from Novacaine, or they have to keep hitting me with the stuff every three minutes or it wears off too quickly.

Hopefully they get that fixed up really good.

I was away most of the day. I had another dentist appt. I need to take a day and do my shopping. :)

Yep .... Perry is very laid back but I grew up listening to his music so I enjoy listening to him once in awhile. I also grew up listening to Bing, Nat and Sinatra; then later Elvis and Dean Martin.

I'm not looking forward to shopping this year.

We don't get an "official" break, but I always save some vacation days to use between Christmas and New Year's Day. How about you?
