How did you know. I calmed her down by letting her know I was married to the prettiest woman in the world and only needed a lift.

I'm pschyic at times like this. So she just happens to be taking the same route as you and Darks? Will she and L.E. be joining us on the hike?
Where is it we're going on this hike anyway?

Together
East or west or north or south,
No difference at all.
If youre here, I am content,
Winter, spring, summer, fall.
We journey on together,
Yes, side by side we go.
For me there is no other,
But that, I know, you know.
No burdens do I carry,
When you are here with me.
Your hand in mine, Im happy,
And rich as I can be.
Your presence is a blessing,
For which thanks I do give.
Ill pray that youre beside me,
As long as I may live.

Good morning, everyone.
I'll be back .... I'm trying to get a care package ready to mail to Iraq. Also working on getting someone in San Diego to adopt a new Marine for Thanksgiving. I've found someone but am doing followup.
Anyone living near a base, want to adopt a military person for Thanksgiving? Give the base a call. These young people should not spend Thanksgiving alone. Let them know that we are thankful for their service!!
Adopt someone in the military!!!

Good afternoon to all at Amy's place!
Beautiful poem (((((CG))))))))) and equally beautiful graphic ((((Mama_Bear)))))))
Received this in my email - it's an oldie making the rounds once again, but still funny:
The Parrot
A young man named John received a parrot as a gift.
The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse
vocabulary. Every word out of the bird's mouth was
rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. John tried
and tried to change the bird's attitude by
consistently saying only polite words, playing soft
music and anything else he could think of to "clean
up"the bird's vocabulary. Finally, John was fed up and he
yelled at the parrot.
The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the
parrot got angrier and even ruder. John, in
desperation, threw up his hand, grabbed the bird and
put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot
squawked and kicked and screamed.
Then suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was
heard for over a minute. Fearing that he'd hurt the
parrot, John quickly opened the door to the freezer.
The parrot calmly stepped out onto John's outstretched
arms and said, "I believe I may have offended you with
my rude language and actions. I'm sincerely
remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I
fully intend to do everything I can to correct my
rude and unforgivable behavior."
John was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude.
As he was about to ask the parrot what had made such a
dramatic change in his behavior, the bird continued,
"May I ask what the turkey did?"
HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!!!!

Thank you for the suggestion, Amy.
There was a story here that the military would no longer deliver packages to "Any Soldier", it has to have an individuals name on it, they don't have time to deliver to the unnamed.
What does one send in a "Thanksgiving" package?
