I still owe you a response for the nice long note you posted the other night but will try to keep a low profile here to not usurp my kind hostess's thread...
Amy's had time to get used to my.. er.. 'unique' sense of humor.
(And it seems contagious if the stereograms from awhile back were any indication.)
Amy probably would appreciate, welcome, and then find graphics for any poetry you write, and sometimes there's a theme here about "whois your favorite poet" like Robert Frost or such.
Amy will gladly answer questions.

I feel sorry for your parents, living in the bay area. What a cesspool of liberalism that area is.
If you ever make it to Fresno, let us know. We will hold a Support the Troops Rally and go to dinner afterwards. Usually we meet the first Friday of every month but we are going to have a second rally on the 29th of this month. It will be a Support the Troops Rally and a Vote for President Bush Rally.
Jim Robinson, the founder of FR, lives in Fresno. MamaBear lives about 50 miles south of Fresno. LadyinRed and Chadsworth live about 50 miles north of Fresno. We enjoy getting together at least once a month.

Sis is currently in a comatose torpor in preperation for a small road trip later today.
I do suspect she has some new writ to share, but may be reluctant to share it since it's either weird and was written at 3 or 4 in teh morning, or it's moody and depressing.
Me, I had a fragment pop into my head, wrote it down, and my muse smirked and took off.
And what is written down is fragmentary at best, nonsensical at worst.

I would love to see some of Borax Queen's poetry.
I try to find a graphic but am not always successful.

I'm not a good poet, but I like to read others'; is that all right? I kept all my English lit and poem books from high school because I enjoy poetry so much.

I try to find poems, jokes, recipes, songs or graphics that I think others will enjoy.
Ahhh, post 82 is great! Thank you for the information about Fresno; that is really neat. I only make it back to CA about once a year now, but my sister just bought a house in Fairfield and she wants me to come visit. I think we drove through Fresno on the way to Sequoia-Kings Canyon a couple of years ago.
Yes, my poor parents! Not only the lack of patriots, but every time they vote for something like cleaning up Golden Gate Park, the money is siphoned over to the bums/winos/hobos. When I was there in July, it was so depressing, not like the City where I grew up. I'm waiting for my parents to move to Tucson, our side of town is the hard-core Repub section, heh heh heh.

I sometimes was inspired to write stuff due to the stereograms..
Well, the fragment came to me with music, and doesn't make sense without it's accompanying tune.
But, here's what it there:
It's dark in here
walking alone in the shine of a lonely tear
Sometimes it's okay
Sometimes gets in the way -like today
What can I say.
(Female vocal, and it's annoying. I had ot get it OUT of my head so I could work ona drawing.. which I gave away!)
I'm not very good at poetry either.
Usually my stuff is about broken hearts and pain.
