I really liked Darkchylde's Verigo poem.
I think she wrote that one at 4:00 in the morning.
As for you, you haven't let us hear how your struggles with the furniture is going lately.
Well, the fragment came to me with music, and doesn't make sense without it's accompanying tune.
But, here's what it there:
It's dark in here
walking alone in the shine of a lonely tear
Sometimes it's okay
Sometimes gets in the way -like today
What can I say.
(Female vocal, and it's annoying. I had ot get it OUT of my head so I could work ona drawing.. which I gave away!)
I had posted another poem before, guess it wasn't seen.... Whatever. I
wrote this one while listening to Tori Amos. I was looking at 2 different titles.
Cruel Girl
Hair in a swirl,
cruel girl.
Break their hearts a plenty.
Cause them pain,
make them wait in the rain
for a girl who'll never show.
And they know 'yes' may be 'no',
but it's not a safe guess to think 'no' may be 'yes'.
Twisted pearl,
cruel girl.
You may be the life of the party, honey,
but you're empty 'cause you just want their money.
There's so many & you know you could have any,
but what you can get to isn't good enough.
In your eyes, if they give it easy then it's just fluff/
Diamonds, sapphires & unrequited love.
They give all this to you, the mourning dove.
What a world for the cruel girl.
You have no shame when you play your game,
you've even given every step a name.
Life's in a whirl,
cruel girl.
Cause them pain,
...in the rain.
You don't show & they'll never know how they're all the same,
part of your game, where every step has a name...
Hair in a swirl,
twisted pearl,
in a whirl,
the cruel girl...
