That's good. I'm recovering from a bit of a headache. I'm not sure why it started.

Yeah. And maybe from the construction at work. Luckily that's almost over with.

Mama Bear posted a picture of a prairie dog, Cyborg posted a picture of a squirrel who has internet access, and has been getting some of the same supplements they keep e-mailing me about. Hmmm.
A chipmunk is often called a ground squirrel. They all have very similar dietary habits, being rodents, but have adapted to their different environmental niches.
Prairie dogs are very sociable, living in large communal societies.
Squirrels have always reminded me of farmers, especially when I see them planting acorns, and patting down the earth. It wouldn't surprise me to see them sauntering around in bib overalls, with a grass stem lolling from their mouths.
Chipmunks are hands-down the cutest of them all. Scampering around in their cautious bustle. Elisabeth Taylor had one as a pet when she was a little girl.

Glad to hear that. I know I'm allergic to dust, so I don't like to be close to constructions.

That's cute. You are just an amazing font of knowledge, NnB. Thank you for the rodent lesson. I really didn't know the difference between them.
I recently learned that Jays are also acorn planters...."up hill planters" they are called. I have a Jay family (two parents and three babies) that come to my backyard each day for peanuts. They are such fun to watch. Even the babies know to bury their excess food for later consumption. Although, I am not so sure they ever come back for it. I keep them pretty well fed and they have become very tame.
Here is a photo of one of the babies on the patio crying for his breakfast. They think I'm their mother. LOL
Amy, yes, we are planning to come to the rally Friday. I will answer your mail later this evening or tomorrow morning.

Yeah. The dust can be bad. The main thing that's bothersome to me though is paint fumes.
I'm gonna get some sleep now. Have a good night!

A Bitter Attitude
Read: Deuteronomy 32:44-52
Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today . . . . It is your life. Deuteronomy 32:46-47
Bible In One Year: Psalms 68-69; Romans 8:1-21
Great emphasis is being placed on living longer and better. Advances in medical science are making it possible for more and more people. Yet in spite of this, none of us can avoid growing old. One day aging will overtake all of us, and our bodies will shut down.
What is preventable, however, is an attitude of bitterness and regret as we grow older. Look at the life of Moses. When he was 120 years old, he stood with the Israelites before they crossed the Jordan River and entered the Promised Land. He could not go with them because he had disobeyed the Lord when in anger he struck the rock in the wilderness (Numbers 20:12,24).
How easily Moses could have slipped into a self-pitying and resentful frame of mind! Had he not borne the burden of a stubborn and stiff-necked people for 40 years? Had he not interceded for them time after time? Yet at the end of his life he praised the Lord and urged a new generation of Israelites to obey Him (Deuteronomy 32:1-4,45-47).
As we grow older, we can dwell on the failures and hardships of our past, or we can remember Gods faithfulness, accept His discipline, and keep looking to the future in faith. Its the only way to avoid a bitter attitude. Dennis De Haan
Though wrinkles and weakness come with age
And life with its stress takes its toll,
Yet beauty and vigor can still be seen
When Jesus gives peace to our soul. D. De Haan
We cannot avoid growing old; but we can avoid growing cold.

Why God Made Little Boys
God made a world out of His dreams,
of wondrous mountains, oceans and streams.
Prairies and plains and wooded land,
then paused and thought,
I need someone to stand
on top of the mountains, to conquer the seas,
explore the plains and climb the trees.
Someone to start out small and grow,
sturdy, strong like a tree and so...
He created boys, full of spirit and fun,
to explore and conquer, to romp and run.
With dirty faces, banged up chins,
with courageous hearts and boyish grins.
When he had completed the task Hed begun,
He surely said, "Thats a job well done."

Your babies must be really tame. They are so cute.
I am looking forward to our Friday Rally. It will be great to see you and Jkphoto.
We should have some extra support this time. I'm expecting about 25 people.

She spent the first day packing her belongings into boxes, crates and suitcases.
On the second day, she had the movers come and collect her things.
On the third day, she sat down for the last time at their beautiful dining room table by candlelight, put on some soft background music, and feasted on a pound of shrimp, a jar of caviar, and a bottle of Chardonnay.
When she had finished, she went into each and every room and deposited a few half-eaten shrimp shells, dipped in caviar, into the hollow of the curtain rods. She then cleaned up the kitchen and left.
When the husband returned with his new girlfriend, all was bliss for the first few days. Then slowly, the house began to smell.
They tried everything; cleaning and mopping and airing the place out. Vents were checked for dead rodents, and carpets were steam cleaned. Air fresheners were hung everywhere.
Exterminators were brought in to set off gas canisters, during which they had to move out for a few days, and in the end they even paid to replace the expensive wool carpeting.
Nothing worked. People stopped coming over to visit...Repairmen refused to work in the house...The maid quit...
Finally, they could not take the stench any longer and decided to move.
A month later, even though they had cut their price in half, they could not find a buyer for their stinky house. Word got out, and eventually, even the local Realtors refused to return their calls.
Finally, they had to borrow a huge sum of money from the bank to purchase a new place.
The ex-wife called the man, and asked how things were going. He told her the saga of the rotting house.
She listened politely, and said that she missed her old home terribly, and would be willing to reduce her divorce settlement in exchange for getting the house back...
Knowing his ex-wife had no idea how bad the smell was, he agreed on price that was about 1/10th of what the house had been worth...But only if she were to sign the papers that very day. She agreed, and within the hour, his lawyers delivered the paperwork.
A week later, the man and his new girlfriend stood smirking as they watched the moving company pack everything to take to their new home...
...including the curtain rods.

Morning! My latest.
First Down Kerry

This is how I flew above, the jungles there in Nam.
I held the skid and fired my gun, bam bam bam bam bam.
We approached the landing zone, I was the first man down.
First Down Kerry, I was called, Air Cav had come to town.
I designed the Huie, the Cobra, the Jolly Green.
Still I went to fight VC, I was a lean machine.
Swift boats, choppers, bombers too, ah yes I did it all.
For four months I was busy, but still I took the call.
I served with honor, brave, and true, saved so many men.
Viet Nam is safer now, I would go back again.

Happy Thursday, OESY.
Thank you for the link to the truth about John Kerry and VietNam.
This is something that should be seen by everyone.
I hope you have been having a wonderful week.
