Yep ..... I read a little and got to sleep about 1:00 and slept until 7:00.

I needed lots of rest because I may have to report for jury duty this afternoon. :( I will call at 11:30 to see if I need to report in person.

I know, I know ...... it is our duty but I don't like jury duty!!!

I'm with you! I did sit on one jury that was interesting though, a murder trial, cut and dried....we fried him. LOL

They honestly believe that since it won awards, that this means it is a good movie?

The co-worker who said it believes it, I guess. They are both liberal, the one who said the above more so than the other.

Wasn't there a movie recently that critics gushed over, but it bombed bigtime in the theaters?Recently? You tell me, I don't keep up on that stuff much. I'm sure there has been in the history of Hollywierd.

I don't keep up with the movies either.

I honestly don't pay much attention to what's playing, to the point that I get asked what movies are currently showing and I go, "Huh?"

I liked the one Far Side the local paper ran on April 29th 1990.
It was the Frog Mafia, and they'd just bumped off another frog.
The caption was, "Throw him in the swamp?! You idiot! That's the FIRST place they'll look!"

You would have fit in perfectly with either the green or the yellow.

3. Drivers think a red traffic light is just a suggestion.

haha ! I must live in Fresno. On the way back from Bally's this morning, I saw TWO folks run them. At two different lights. Each time, it wasn't EVEN close. They were BLATANT. I swear, I was in the middle lane and the runner in the left - if I had been in the same lane in front of him, I think he'd have nailed me from behind, he was that determined to go through it. It's a 7 mile drive from Bally's to my house.

I am amazed at how many folks do this.

5. Most of the restaurants in town have the first name "El" or "Los"

hehe ! When I lived in San Antonio, every business was "Alamo" this or "Alamo" that .....

10. You know a swamp cooler is not a happy hour drink.

hehe ! I remember having one of those in Fort Worth when we had just come back from Panama. I was 4 when we flew back to the States. When the folks bought a window unit A/C, I remember how much better I was able to sleep. The swamp coolers are SOooo humid.

22. The water from the cold water tap is the same temperature as the hot one.

hehe ! Summer showers are "cold water only" ....

I'd have to settle for a grey one with psychobarbwire pinstripe design on the rear fenders and a 1.8turbo engine.
Windshield would say "Bug" with a splatter graphic after it.

haha ! Being a morning person, I'm usually ready to start the day early. This morning, that Hippo was me, too. One cup of coffee and I was ready to roll, though.
