Laura Earl is great!
I like it
Good day, lass! Nice to hear from you.
That is a very well written poem. I am glad you wrote it. I have a friend in her 50's who met and married her husband through her father's ill-health and untimely death. Her husband was also very ill, though they did not know this when they got married. I think she would tell you that we never completely get over the loss of loved ones, but the pain diminishes with time.
I'm glad to have met you and have you in my life. You have made my life a better place to be.
Mornin' !!I'll see ya'll later. Gotta walk my Rooster now .....
hehe ! That pic is my desktop background. I love it !!
Actually, I'll be heading out to my buddy John's house shortly. I've gotta help him move his airplane.
We're gonna go to the airport and haul it on a trailer to his house.
So I'll be out all the rest of the day after I head out around 11 CDT .....
See ya'll manana !
OH!
You mean JEAN splicing, as in the field of jeanetics. I bet you have to do a LOT of splicing to make jeans for an 8-legged goat.
Thank you.
Do you know what Charles Dickens was refering to when he said, "These things shall never die"?
Hanoi -- same capital, different country. However, with help from John Kerry and his friends, Saigon is now Ho Chi Minh City, at least for the politically correct. People who live there still call it Saigon (I think).
Milady and I have a pact, whoever goes first gets to be guardian angel for the other. Don't be too surprised if Chris is looking after you already and if so, he feels the love.
No ...... Does it not go with the graphic? : (
Waiting in the Wings
Their life, that is in you, listens.
Their life, that is in you, hears.
Your life may seem drowning in sorrows,
Their life, is beyond any tears.
His smile is a shining remembrance,
His touch will forever, hold.
His will is that you should continue,
As each of you grows to be old.
His visage will fade only slightly,
As wear and tear takes its toll.
His words youll remember in fondness,
Theyll be prompting the lines for your role.
Her words will be singing forever,
Her presence will seem to be near.
She will be guiding and smiling,
And helping your joy to appear.
The parted are not so departed,
You can feel their connection to you.
Remember the good ways you journeyed,
And remember the bad times were few.
Their life, that is in you, listens.
Their life, that is in you, hears.
Theyre waiting in wings for your solo,
And waiting to greet you with cheers.

Don't be sad, I'm just brain dead most of the time (anymore). He's talking about 'love' is he not?

Added the flowers .....
These Things Shall Never Die
The Bright, The Pure, The Beautiful
That stirr'd our Hearts in Youth
The Impulses to Wordless Prayer
The Dreams of Love and Truth
The Longing after somethings Lost
The Spirits Yearning Cry
The Striving after better Hopes -
These Things Can Never Die.
The timid Hand stretched forth to Aid
a brother in his need
The kindly Word in Griefs Dark Hour
That Proves a Friend Indeed
The Plea of Mercy softly Breath'd
when Justice threathens nigh
The Sorrows of a Contrite Heart -
These Things Shall Never Die.
Let nothing pass, for every hand
Shall find some work to do
Lose not a chance to waken Love
Be Firm, and Just, and True
So shall a Light that never Fade
Shine on thee from on High
and Angel Voices say to Thee
The Things Shall Never Die.
- Dickens
Thank you, Mayor.
Good job, Bob! Thank you for finding and posting that!
But I don't want spider silk in my goat milk!
