.................................................................
The Poetry Branch has been in limbo since the prior hostess left FreeRepublic April 15th 2003. We've since learned that said hostess has lost her posting privilege. That being the case, and Jim Robinson having given his ok, I wanted to renew the thread.
FreeRepublic is blessed with many fine poets, and we look forward to seeing their poems posted on FR once again. There were many non-poet FReepers who visited the Poetry Branch for the camaraderie; we hope they will return.
I would like to invite everyone to visit and relax at Poetry and Potpourri. Hopefully you will renew old acquaintances for chatting, sharing jokes, telling stories, posting cartoons, etc. Everyone needs a place to escape from the everyday news, make Poetry and Potpourri that place.

Will you? I can't wait. I've already got it all planned out what I'm going to do with those babies. Ally and Jo have to live close to us. They have agreed and promised. :)
Can you believe how big she is? She shot up this past year.

Leading my department's parade - it was made up of soldiers, Uncle Sam, Lady Liberty, Flag girls, Betsy Ross being pulled on a float. Oh, what fun! You made an excellent President Bush!
It is cold and raining here. It has put a damper on the neighborhood kid's trick or treating. :-(
BTW, loved your reply to "Disavowel". You go girl!! LOL!

Look at these awful pictures from a couple of years ago. Tim and I went to a party dressed as "Nerds going to the Prom". Don't we look horrible? ROFL Our costumes were so real, half the people at the party wouldn't talk to us because they thought we were really nerds. The people we didn't know kept asking our friends if we really dressed like that. It's Halloween you bunch of snotty, goof balls!!! Grrrrrr...

It was so funny. Tim had a sign on his back that said "Kick Me" and had toilet paper coming out of his pants. I put Vitalis in my hair to make it look unwashed and dirty.
Sick I tell you! Sick!

If you ever get to Florida, I'll loan you my kids for awhile. They're real sweet, good natured, easy kids. I'm blessed.

I have to travel at least an hour and a half to find a Starbuck's. You all should be more a little more sensitive, talking about such things in front of me. boo hoo......
To: Aquamarine
There's one up the street from us, but I have to stay away. I'm trying to be tight with the budget and drink only coffee made at home. Gross!

(((((Spookie))))) and ((((Mama_Bear)))))
You have great pics, too, Spookie. And enough candy to populate a supermarket - LOL! Thank you for sharing those!
MB - I hate when I lose my way on FR. I replied to that rude ping from Disavowal, or some such pretentious cootie-name-for-the-minute, and ended up staying on the thread, accidentally. That'll teach me for getting my knickers in a knot - LOL!!
Had *no* ghoulies tonight - what a shock! But, saw around 40 of the cutest kids today at work - some of our local medically needy children that we service came by the corporate office. So very, very precious they all were.
OK, time to wind down. Goodnight to you both and catch up with you soon! :-)

Oh my gosh! I never thought of that. We homeschool so that would be a good economics lesson. And I'm just mean enough to do it too. LOL
That's so funny! Very clever. Thanks for the devilishly good idea.
