House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a "60 Minutes" interview that aired Sunday night that one of the motivating factors for some in the new effort to impeach President Trump and remove him from office is to eliminate any chance he has of being elected again.
Last week’s riot at the U.S. Capitol Building has quickly become one of the greatest challenges to Trump’s presidency. Democrats and some Republicans blame him for his overheated rhetoric leading up to the unrest that led to five deaths and dozens of arrests.

So, basically: “Oh, he didn’t commit a crime, or anything. I just want to overthrow him and eliminate him from politics.”

McConnell has already said the Senate can’t act on this for several weeks. If this is about 2024, why are they rushing to impeach today? Something else is going on.
Does Nancy think she will have a quorum today? If I was a rep and saw the National Guard everywhere I would think about taking a long vacation to a country far, far away.
I honestly think it’s just Nancy’s deranged hatred of Trump that is behind this. By 2024 he’ll be almost 80 and unlikely even to want to run, so this is just a purely symbolic bit of theater of Nancy’s part. The woman is crazy...and everybody in Congress is scared of her.
We’ll have another great candidate in the future. What will they do then, kill him/her?
