A pediatrician went on a viral rant recently about the dangers of convincing children they are transgender and then prescribing them hormone blockers that prevent them from developing into their born gender.
What did she say? At a recent Heritage Foundation forum about the topic, Dr. Michelle Cretella went on a lengthy rant about how it is child abuse to indulge children who are gender-confused by helping them “transition” to the gender they think they are.
Cretella said:
Chemical castration is what you’re doing when you put any biologically normal child on puberty blockers. It’s treating puberty like a disease, arresting a normal process which is critical to normal development and bad for kids.
Sterilization: not good for kids. Prepping them for what will likely result in a case in girls a double mastectomy at 16 — not how you treat depression or anxiety and I have plenty of experience treating teenagers with depression, anxiety, even suicidal depression. Indoctrinating pre-school kids with the lie that you can be trapped in the wrong body, again, that’s disrupting their normal reality testing and cognitive development. Those things are abusive.
As to the studies, there are two that I am aware of that claim affirming your child’s gender confusion is good for them. Number one, it assumes that coaching a child into a fixed-false belief is mentally healthy. Science doesn’t allow you to assume your conclusion. Number two, those studies are extremely small. Number three, those studies are very short term. And number four, the control group of “mentally healthy children” are the siblings, most of them are siblings of the trans-identifying child. Oh, and there’s a number five, the parents were the ones evaluating the mental health of the children.
This is not science…I don’t think you need to have an M.D. or a Ph.D to know that’s not science — that’s ideology masquerading as science.
Who is Cretella?
Cretella is a pediatrician who serves as the president of the American College of Pediatricians. She is very outspoken about the dangers of letting kids believe they are transgender and calls the cultural problem “large-scale child abuse.”
Transexuals come to realize that changing their observable sex traits does not make them happy. The “fantasy” never entirely becomes “reality”.
Some transition back.
Some commit suicide.
Thank God someone has the courage to stand up and tell the truth.
It’s no way to treat a mental illness.
We look back at lobotomies and are horrified. Stick a rod in someone’s brain? And stir it around? To make them better?
I guess the Kennedy family thought it was a swell idea, but now it’s no longer considered “cutting edge” science.
Transgenderism is just as bad. But the Democrats think it’s super cool.

I read an account on-line, I can't find it now, but it was someone who fully transitioned from male to female and the excruciating pain and agony he was now dealing with that nobody ever told him about. Unable to walk, unable to sit, stitches, can't urinate, infections, and on and on. He was deeply depressed and regretted getting his dick chopped off almost immediately. When you go this far, there's no transitioning back.
The Hippocratic Oath states "first do no harm" and any doctor who would perform such a surgery needs to be stripped of their ability to practice medicine.
Normally I hate everything about the field of psychology and counseling but this term she used “reality testing”:

when a child has these impulses it could just be an unconscious process of reality testing.
A rant?! She spoke the truth.
She’s right.
But truth has been lost in this formerly-great country. Science has been commandeered and forced into the service of political correctness.
There is absolutely no doubt about the XX-XY chromosome thing. This is how things are. Passing a law does not change the laws of nature, physics or chemistry. Human nature is what it is, and no politician can change it.
Wanna bet she is attacked by the radical leftists who deny human nature? Wanna bet she is threatened with loss of position?
Any doctor who mutilates a patient suffering under delusions of being a different sex is unworthy of practicing medicine and is committing a crime. I don’t care if the law permits it. Any law that permits it is invalid and not binding.
And the doctor is correct
We would not allow or encourage a child to believe that they are really a tree or a four legged animal or some kind of bird

GOOD, It is my understanding that Medical Professionals(Doctors) have a “Duty” to notify the Authorities if they suspect Child Abuse. well Start Notifying them

That we allow this to be presented as a perfectly normal choice is disgusting.
I knew a 12 year old kid who’d dress up in his mama’s wig and sparkly twirler outfits. Then puberty hit and all that changed. He later married a woman and has kids. Imagine that harm if he’d been put on all those hormones and had his thing whacked off.
