My pathology came back Monday.
In a nutshell, although I did not specifically ask "what stage?", I think it's a stage I.
Surgeon said the tumor was smaller than they thought. Lymph nodes were clear, and the margins they took out were clear.
Strength and hope through your treatments. It sounds like a very good prognosis.
Prayers continue.

Great news! Prayers going your way. My loved one had similar experience - small (under 1 cm), with dcis. The other key markers were pr/er positive, low mitotic rate (the cells were splitting slowly, not growing fast), and lymph node negative. Based on that, radiation and hormone therapy was the only follow up treatment (no chemo). However, it is my understanding that now a days (our situation occurred 11 years ago), they will do a much more advanced work up, even using Dna analysis and treatment responsiveness testing to see what follow up treatment will work best for your specific cancer.
My daughter had it, but she’s fine now. Prayers.
Yes, praise that it seems to be smaller and more treatable than expected! And prayers for successful therapies to get rid of any traces, once and for all

I know a bit about this stuff. If it’s DCIS, then that’s an in-situ tumor and it’s less than Stage I. Do what they recommend, although do your research and realize that doctors don’t make any money unless they treat you, so watch for overtreatment. If they recommend hormone tx then by God, take it. It does the job.
