My pathology came back Monday.
In a nutshell, although I did not specifically ask "what stage?", I think it's a stage I.
Surgeon said the tumor was smaller than they thought. Lymph nodes were clear, and the margins they took out were clear.

So, praise God for that!
My concerns: not only was DCIS noticed (I didn't realize that was on my original biopsy until the other day!), but now areas of LCIS in the sample.
Of course, looks like I will have radiation first, soon. Next week have appt. with radiology oncologist.
Just asking for praise and continued prayers for my situation! Thank you!

From one native Marylander to another, good for you. Stage 1 ain't no thang. And oncologists are a weird bunch. Mine is still poking and probing me for a bleeder somewhere, he thinks. I'm of a 'certain age' and was long overdue for a lower GI scoping. He had them run the ol' Roto-Rooter up my whatsis, and they took out
five gnarly polyps that they said were cancers-in-training. Better to catch that stuff now, in the early stages, than ignore they symptoms and get bad news down the road. Hang in there, you'll be fine. As long as they keep pulling blue jimmies out of the Bay, I'm gonna stay alive to eat 'em. LOL!

I had my yearly crabs for my birthday (again), before my surgery! LOL - they were great, too. Held me for several days of wonderful lunches.
Still want to have more, though!
I’ve been wondering if I should bug my gastro about colonoscopy again - it’s been 3 years now (including since my gut surgery). I hope you do well with yours.
My woman parts are the trouble now. :-\

good luck...just had major surgery (almost 6 hours under anesthesia) myself two weeks ago...nothing life threatening but no fun none the less...
