I am so grieved by the travesty that occurred this evening in Washington. I am saddenned and extremely concerned for the future of our country and am looking for a way to express it.
Whatever happened to the activism of the 80s?! I remember seeing news coverage of groups of people picketing with "throw the bums out" signs, sending tea bags to Washington, the term limits and divided government concepts being debated on talking-heads shows.
Are any organizations leading the charge here? I know there are Freeps in Washington, but there has to be something we here in fly-over country can do--and I am sick of calling dem staffers who could care less about my views.
I came up with several ideas---flying flag upside down, sending tea bags to Washington, some sort of ribbon or bumper sticker campaign
--somehow conservatives need to start building momentum to mitigate this disaster. Any ideas/thots

I don’t think I have any specialized software for that purpose...what would you recommend?
I am hoping that my word printing template will allow me to do either a larger address label or index card—there are several settings.
I am making my list for WalMart & it includes larger index cards :)

They have what they want in their sights, and we are just irritating white noise. If somebody here can figure out a (legal, ethical, moral) way to move beyond being useless noise, then we could begin to get somewhere.
I’m with you. A lot will have to do with how the Republican party conducts itself over the next few years. No excuse can be given to the L/MSM to attempt to twist issues.
Great idea, Devil Dog! I ordered 2 of the Original Navy Jack flags from ebay for $7.99 each, shipping included! I will move the Marine Corps flag to the top and the Navy Jack under it!
I think I will do that too. There is a little place up the road that sells flags out of their house so I think I’ll get me a Gadsden flag. That is a trend I think could spread. I know a house up the road flies the (1776?) flag with the stars and stripes with the circle of stars.
And would you point to the Scripture verse where it says that please?

Yeah, and about a thousand more that will tell us to call upon the Lord.....pray....ask, seek, knock.....cast all our care upon the Lord, for He cares for us.
Also, Jesus said without Him, we can do nothing. That pretty much sums it up.
People think there is actually a Scripture that says God helps those who help themselves. That is not in the Bible. God helps those who call upon Him.
The one you mentioned is one of several showing how we should not be one who never works. That’s a good one for this day and age, isn’t it?
It looks like got our very own Pharaoh, Herod or King Saul in the White House. Look what happened when they worshiped the golden calf. Now I see these idoits worshiping the Bronze Ass!
