Blogger admits Hawaii birth certificate forgery, subverting Obama claims (Uh-oh)

Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.

The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.

The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.

Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.

McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

then, remember, there's the seal - rather, the lack of a seal. NO certification of birth leaves a city hall, or would be valid, without the embossed seal of said city - clearly visible from both sides...

Actually, you’re both wrong. Under federal law at the time of Obama’s birth (and not amended until 1986), a person born outside of the U.S. or territories that had one U.S. citizen parent and one non-citizen parent was a U.S. citizen at birth only if said U.S. citizen parent had resided in the U.S. (including its territories) for 10 years, with at least 5 years coming after the age of 14. Obama’s father was not a U.S. citizen, and his mother was only 18 at the time (so at the time of Obama’s birth she couldn’t have lived in the U.S. for 5 years after the age of 14), so Obama would not be a U.S. citizen at birth had he been born in a foreign country (be it Kenya, the Philippines or what have you). However, if a person born outside the U.S. qualified for U.S. citizenship at birth (there are different rules for cases in which both parents are citizens, one is a citizen and the other is a U.S. “national” (like American Samoans), and one is a citizen and the other an alien), then he or she would be a “natural-born citizen” for purposes of Article II, sec. 1, cl. 5 of the Constitution and thus qualify for the office of the president (assuming, of course, that at the time such person is sworn in as president he or she is at least 35 years old and had resided within the U.S. for at least 14 years).

The only thing I can think of that he wouldn’t want us to see is that maybe he wasn’t born Barrack Husein Obama but Barry Dunham.

And if it was, as has been rumored, Barry Dunham on the real BC...the city clerks office wouldn't be able to locate one for Barack H.....

The Constitution says:

"..No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution shall be eligible to the Office of President;.."

If there is a serious question they should provide proof.

Either he’s hiding something or using same as bait for later use. Personally I suspect there is something there, as defusing it with an ‘official’ copy would have been done a long time ago (not photoshopped hacks on loosely connected websites)

Yeah but if he was not born in Hawaii and has been lying about it that greatly undermines his credibility and judgment. Of course, if he has never actually said “I was born in Honolulu on August 4, 1961” or whatever, then maybe this is all just a set-up as some of us fear.

There are plenty of real policy weaknesses, lies, flip-flops, and far-left views & associations that we should focus on most. With that I do agree. But I think it is relevant and important to know whether Obama is a liar or worse about his origins.

I don’t know - say it is confirmed in October that Obama is not a valid candidate. What happens then? Does Hillary automatically become the dem’s nominee? Would it stall the November election? Hmmm.... or wait until AFTER the election in November. If Obama wins, pull the “but he’s not a citizen” card we have now.. wait - would Obama’s VP choice become president then (before Obama sworn in), or would McCain become president or.... oh, my brain hurts!

Some freepers thought they detected a seal in microscopy, but nowhere near enough to establish WHAT seal. Not even any letters or ensignias. Just a hundred or so refractory pixels in what should be 50 thousand pixels on raised cotton paper.

I think a seal is something you can see and feel, not something you have to use forensics to establish.

If Obama was born outside the U.S., he wasn’t a citizen at birth (because his one citizen parent, his mother, hadn’t lived in the U.S. for 5 years after the age of 14) and thus wouldn’t qualify for the presidency. This is about more than just his credibility and judgment (not that those things aren’t important as well).

Didn't someone from his schooldays say he was enrolled as Barry Dunham?

I wonder if he was still "Barry Dunham" while living with his white grandparents? Was he so enrolled then?

He lived in Honolulu with his maternal grandparents while attending Punahou School from the fifth grade in 1971 until his graduation from high school in 1979. (Wouldn't this be public record? Where are our investigative reporters?)

Didn't his half sister, from his mother's marriage to Lolo Soetoro say that he was enrolled = in Jakarta? - as Barry Soetoro?

These are the things that should be tracked down. That would point to his name not being Barrack Hussein O - on the BC. and maybe not for many years.

That could mean that he CHOOSE, himself, to take on the very Muslim names - maybe when he first went to Kenya on his quest to become "black enough" ...
