Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

Who is Ms. DeCosta?
Who is Ms. DeCosta?
I think you just forfeited the right to ask questions.
Well, hell, J, post a ‘Obama is a Marxist’ thread and ping us to it!
The birth certificate threads comprise 1/7000 of the ones posted on FR per month.
If this analysis distresses you, go read another one.
How so? When I requested my copy last year, I had no idea Fred Nerks would be the opposing counsel.
Read up on this thread. I am happy to have Jim Robinson review by BC with his own eyes.
Say, who is Ms. DeCosta?
It is really sad that Free Republic has gone this low and that insane. Instead of focusing on Obama the defeatist and the socialist the lunatics are taking over the forum and spreading all this crazy conspracy theory stuff and giving a very bad name to Free Republic.
You are challenging the certificates and aren’t even cognizant of the FReeper Hawaii BC that has been used for comparison purposes all over the net? Fail.
May be FR should have a section dedicated to “ Crazy Conspiracy Theories” where crap such this thread should be posted and this way Free Republic keeps its reputation.
“I can see why you wouldn’t want to believe me, since it conflicts with your deeply held values.”
My deeply held value is to believe in truth not bizarre idiotic nonsense based on zero evidence.
Your deeply held values seem to be to glom onto wacky and false theories. Good luck with that!
You continue to spin a web of silliness based on .... NOTHING.
NOTHING to show that BHO wasnt born in Honolulu other than your own bizarre view that BHO has been lied to his entire life about where he was born and never figured it out, and that lie is now the State Dept record on Obama.
My argument is not with your assertions of arcane State Dept rules. The argument is with you bringing such hypotheticals to this case as if they mean anything. they DONT!
“BHO could easily get a passport with a state issued Letter of No Record, and a note from his mommy saying he was born in Honolulu.”
It *could* happen. And monkeys can continue to fly out of your butt.
So BHO’s Mommy asserts he was born in Honolulu Hawaii, but cannot get the birth cert. from the Honolulu records office ... and the passport guys will go “okay” and not even bother with checking the assertion. She wont bat an eye and think of being honest about where he was born (Kenya, Pluto, South Pole, Bethlehem, Outer Mongolia), no she is going to tell them he was born right where she was going to school, right where she grew up, and right where she and Barack Obama were hanging out together ... yet it would be a lie.
And the reason for this conpsiracy is ... what exactly? To make sure this ineligible for President guy can become a candidate?
Those alternative records are exactly what you claims dont exist:
“* Baptismal certificate
* Hospital birth certificate
* Census record
* Early school record
* Family bible record
* Doctor’s record of post-natal care”
So in order to effect the lie, she’ll have to produce records you say doesnt exist. Dont you ralize it is *harder* to get these alternatives than just a birth cert.? Good luck with that!
Are you really that stupid that you believe your bogus hypothesis. I mean seriously, you must be a troll or pulling our legs on this.
Maybe you can be the first to educate me...who IS Ms. DeCosta?
Unless of course you are confused that I am the only FReeper born in Hawaii who has offered up a BC for inspection...
It was well before. 14th amendment, and adjudicated by the Supreme Court in the 1898.
From Wikipedia:
In 1898 the meaning was tested again in the case of United States v. Wong Kim Ark regarding children of Chinese citizens born in United States. This time the Supreme Court ruled that children born on United States soil, with very few exceptions, are U.S. citizens. This type of guaranteelegally termed jus soli or "birthright citizenship" does not exist in most of Europe or Asia, although it is part of English common law and is common in the Americas. Since 1898 the phrase and subject to the jurisdiction thereof has been interpreted to mean that there are some exceptions to the universal rule that birth in United States automatically grants citizenship. In the case of United States v. Wong Kim Ark, the Supreme Court ruled that a person born within the territorial boundaries of the United States is eligible for birthright citizenship regardless of the nationality of his or her parents. The only exceptions to this rule identified in Wong Kim Ark concern diplomats, enemy forces in hostile occupation of the United States, and members of Native American tribes.
It was years later that the exclusion of Native Americans was eliminated by the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924.
It goes on to say that the question of the citizenship the US born children of *illegal* immigrants has not been directly tested at the Supreme Court level, although US laws assume that such children are birthright citizens.
So, if a person was born in Hawaii, and at least one of his parents was in the US legally, he'd definitely a citizen (Unless his parents are in one of the excepted classes, mostly Diplomats and foreign military (who unless they are occupying US territory, are often officially diplomats, and often legal spies (Military attaches))
“As for your bogus and misinformed views on passports etc. Are you a State Dept or foreign service officer or just talking out yer a**? Ive already refuted several false claims you made, and if you think you can get a passport with fake berth certs. you are nuts. ... you can lead a horse to water, but you can make him drink.
I can see why you wouldn’t want to believe me, since it conflicts with your deeply held values. “
PS. I notice you didn’t say “Yes, I am a State Dept expert and I’ve handled passports in the foreign service” so I’ll put you in the ‘talking out yer a**’ category on this passport stuff, even if you can google.
Shhhh... please do not confuse the crazy conspiracy theorists with simple facts. They will quickly come back to you and said that his birth certificate was faked when he was only few years old, and they will ask you "haven't you heard of the Manchurian candidate?". For them it was a conspiracy theory from the 1961 to make Obama the President of the United States.
Mmmm. Longtime ‘friend’... I’m only getting flak from you when I’m over a target?
It ain’t the burglary - It’s the coverup.
No, you are not the only one:
Jeremy Scott Smith 151 1983 000976
Patricia DeCosta 151 1930 010259
Who is Ms. DeCosta???
Surely ther is some gray in this situation its not totally black or white (Obama pun)
I see no reason to lie about a birth certificate and the conjecture as to why is getting out there ,but there is a lot of evidence that the birth certificate that has been posted is a lie
Nobody, to you. Or Jveritas.
What is being talked about is not the real original birth certificate, or even a certified copy of it, it's a certification of live birth. Basically a dump from the state birth certificate database. It's addmissible in court as proof of birth, so it much be "certified" somehow. The embossed seal is the most common method for this, and not just for birth certificates. When I got transcripts from the university to supply to my current employer (and we're talking 20+ year old records (but that was 10 years ago), they were prints of microfilm, with an embossed seal to make them "official" copies. My father in law was a registered professional engineer, he had a device to emboss his seal on certified documents. My CRC handbook, a gift from him, from before my wife and I were married, has that seal on one of the pages. It's not that big a deal, especially for a state bureau of vital statistics or whatever Hawaii calls their place you go to get a copy of a birth certificate.
