Although they're mentioned frequently in ancient texts as vigorous traders and sailors, we know relatively little about these puzzling people. Historians refer to them as Canaanites when talking about the culture before 1200 B.C. The Greeks called them the phoinikes, which means the "red people"—a name that became Phoenicians—after their word for a prized reddish purple cloth the Phoenicians exported. But they would never have called themselves Phoenicians. Rather, they were citizens of the ports from which they set sail, walled cities such as Byblos, Sidon, and Tyre.

Phoenicians reaching this continent for trade systems is one way to explain the math displayed in Indian burial mounds in places like Ohio. There is some evidence that the Ancient Egyptians used a narcotic only available on this continent, so they would have to have ‘traded’ for it. The ancient stone heads found in South America are of African races not native to North or South America. Lots of circumstantial evidence that exchnages went on between the continents, including ancient maps showing coastlines of both.
It’s always amusing to read a piece where the author slams someone or some belief system for being nothing but opinion based. Then proceeds to elaborate a totally opinion based conjecture as fact based. Asserted the author, ‘The early Jesus expected the end to be soon.’ Is that riiiiight! And actually, the end of seeking righteous through the law was very soon swept aside as Jesus fulfilled the law for any who will accept His deliverance from the law as ‘school master’.
