No problem. These would have been “principal registrar” etc. under the British Colonial government. That would readily explain why they have English names.

The 1964 document is describing the process that took place in 1961 at the hospital and in colonial government offices. If indeed BO was born in Mombansa, Aug. 4, 1961, then the official recording of would have been done under the British colonial government.

The “second image” is a larger version of the original with the hideous fabric blacked out.

I did it because somebody asked for a bigger image to be able to READ THE WRITING easier.

I used screen capture to snag it, jack up the contrast for legibility’s sake and then “cut” the ugly fabric out.

It was quick and dirty.

Sorry if I didn’t have hours to devote to doing it perfectly.

Its date coincides with Ann Dunham’s return to the states. My guess is she needed a copy for a passport or to have with her back in the states. It’s reasonable the custodial parent would have a copy if the parents split-up.

Makes sense to me. I just wonder how this copy would have gotten out of Obama's control and into Orly Taitz' hands.

My son says it’s Google analytics and they regularly do this to websites to cut down traffic. It keeps the unaware of politics from using the site. Websites get this label if ONE person turns it in to Google as “subversive” etc. It’s just Google trying to control what you see.

Still catching up so forgive me if this has been addressed. There’s newspaperarchive.com and a slew of other resources online. If Kenya referred to itself as Republic of Kenya, prior to 12/12/64, it should be obvious by a perusal of contemporary newspapers.

I found an article that stated that Zimbabwe and Kenya joined the UN just hours after gaining independence... but I don't have time to dig out any specifics of the name they registered with the UN. Anybody?

On the face of it, it's a certified true copy, which would make it more than a mere copy. A bureaucrat with requisite authority appears to have officially vouchsafed that it is an accurate, unaltered copy of the original on file. Hence the raised seal and registrar's signature.

But documents like this are relatively easy to forge, even documents with raised seals and "official" signatures.

This case gets weirder and weirder every day. I'm still not a "birther" but the longer the Obama administration tap dances and tries to direct attention from what should be a very easy matter to clear up, the more suspicious I become.
