My mother is the only one in our family that has ever evinced any interest in driving/owning her own car.

She's had a huge blue Checker, a brown (Chevrolet, I think), our former Hyundai, which was a piece of garbage, and our current white Honda-which she inherited from my grandfather, who died in testate.

Poor starting pitching did the Yankees in. They always leave men on base.

Best record in both leagues, darling. Always a division title, and yet another WS appearance last year. Meanwhile, the Mets spent all that money, too (check how they ranked last year in payroll). Still waiting for handlebar moustache guy and company rolling down the Canyon of Heroes every October. If Wilpon sells the team to someone who isn't a mouth breather, get rid of Howe and improve the pitching and the Mets may just get that title.

I have the best damn view for the fireworks in Manhattan.
