Well, we came up here from Ft. Walton Beach Florida. You talk HOT! But the first summer we were up here, it was also hot, but no air conditioning. We just don't get really hot summers long enough to invest in one. But it's days like this that I am absolutely dying! Supposed to cool down by Monday. Hope I can survive this. I have every fan in the house on high. Its making me sick. I was going to go out in the SUV, but how long can you sit in THERE! heh! Oh well........winter is right around the corner!

The only points you get in the Lounge are if you can find a spot or a position that HASN'T been used before. Joe, my sweet, do I hear just a touch of a challenge?

Hey there Tex, good to see you. I can't stay long as we have company coming. I would rather have pizza but it wasn't my choice.
:)

Joe! If anyone will stick up for the smoking rights, it's you! You got that right!!!!
\ We spent some time this afternoon (hubby and my regular Friday afternoon date) talking with the owner of one of the local sports Bars, who admits he was lax in paying attention to the delaware ban.
We're working on the clause that says a waver can be granted.
It's going to be intresting.

My hubby got leftover barbecued chicken for supper, but I steamed the vegetables fresh. I was too tired to even go for pizza tonight-easier to cook at home, especially since the linkage, or torque converter broke on my Nissan, leaving me stranded with no forward gears (or reverse) waiting for a tow truck for 3 hours. The rebellious car is now sitting in the driveway, awaiting a diagnosis of the problem.

I know it gets hot down there. Don't you have air conditioning? I would just die if we had to put up with this all summer. I would HAVE to get air if this happened all the time...

Waivers are interesting legal tools that can tie up disputes for YEARS in the courts! I love it-good luck, Gabz!

We replaced our fast-failing A/C with a new unit last month. Our old one (12 years) was running all the time, and couldn't cool the house down below 83 during the hottest part of the day. We got one that is a 1/2 ton bigger than we need this time, and boy does it work! We have to turn the thermostat way up at night, or we turn into popsicles, (and we only like the temperature 76-80). Just got the utility bill, and the bigger unit nearly cut our bill in half-I like that!

I've been studying everyone's drinking preferences since I heard Joe was going to need help! I was happy to have the chance to serve you all! Just wish I could have been here when the bar opened.
Cheers!

I know it bumps up the electric bill, but boy! I would almost kill to have AC this week-end. It's sickening.

I cannot take living witout the AC! It comes on in April or May and stays on until the temp drops enough to open the windows.
Last week our AC went out, late on Friday afternoon no less... so to get a guy out to fix it I had to pay overtime and I was glad to do it (sort of) since I couldn't bear the thought of waiting till Monday to get someone out.
Turns out it was a simple belt had broken, available at the local hardware store for less than $10. The repair cost me $125! Oh well, gotta stay cool!
