Aman died Monday at Six Flags Over Georgia, according to police and witnesses.
Georgia's Cobb County police said several other people were injured in the incident.
A witness told local TV station WXIA an image of the man falling was captured on his souvenir picture taken while on the Goliath ride, which the Six Flags website says can reach speeds of 70 mph.
Six Flags officials said in a statement they were "deeply saddened by the guest incident," and that park workers and local authorities responded immediately.
You know if this was a state or county fair ride it wouldn’t surprise me so much given that they tend to employ Jimmy the crackhead types to run the rides, but I would have expected tighter quality control from a well known amusement park.
Very tragic
I noticed that right away too. Our world is populated and run by bland, heartless people, for the most part.
A ‘Guest Incident’, to me, would be someone spooging mustard onto their shirt while eating a hotdog, and the park providing them with a new one so they could better enjoy the rest of their visit. The term would not include someone dying in horrific fashion before the eyes of hundreds on one of the park’s rides. But apparently it does.
“Guest Incident” sounds like something that would come out of the loud speakers at that city in the old movie “Logan’s Run”.
The only difference is the place. I knew a bunch of WDW workers that were that ‘type’......................
I also don't do fireworks. Many years ago, when I was a resident physician, I was involved in the case of a small boy in whose eye lodged a cherry bomb thrown by his father, accidentally of course. That was the end of fireworks for me.
The only difference is the county fairs travel which means disassembling and reassembling the rides.
Knowing what I know about mechanical functionality and human error risk assessment there’s not enough money to get me on a fair ride.
Mrs. V however is fearless. She’ll ride any of ‘em....but she’s got a fear of flying.
Go figure 🤷♂️
There used to be an amusement park in Tulsa, Oklahoma called Bell’s that restricted some rides to people who weighed less than 250 pounds. Bell’s has been out of business for 20 years.
“A witness told local TV station WXIA an image of the man falling was captured on his souvenir picture taken while on the Goliath ride...”
Zoykes, Shaggy! Nobody wants that! But - did no one notice he was gone until that photo was developed?!?!
The last time I was on a roller coaster (also at a Six Flags) was when I was 19. My purse flew off, but that seemed to be a common thing - they got it back for me within the hour.

I’ve done that. I don’t ride them either................
I also thought that statement was about as insincere as can be. Sounds like a minor thing, just some bruises and a scraped knee.
Every coaster I have ever ridden, they come and check to make sure you are locked in.
Good idea. I was talking to a co-worker one day and he mentioned that he would never ride a roller coaster... he used to work as a carny and knew how they were assembled.
The Wild Mouse killed a couple at Mississippi state fair when I was young
Broke a friend of mines leg
A year later he was in indochina fighting zips
Let’s not forget the inaugural run of Busch Gardens’ Apollo’s Chariot where Fabio got “goosed” in the face.
There are two things I hate in this world. Nuclear War and Carnies....Small hands....smell like cabbage...- Austin Powers.
It is a way of getting that adrenaline rush without (usually) being in actual dange
Alternately just dtive or ride in heavy high-speed traffic.
