An unarmed man was fatally shot in a broad daylight ambush during a dispute over a parking spot at a North Lauderdale Walmart on Tuesday.
62-year-old Bart Diguglielmo was shot by a woman during an argument over a parking space.
The unidentified shooter is claiming self-defense. Diguglielmo was not armed.
Diguglielmo's family said he was a Christian man and a decorated veteran who served in Desert Storm in the Army National Guard.
The shooting was captured on a Tesla cam and cell phone camera.

A man who was shot by a woman during what authorities said was a dispute over a parking space at a North Lauderdale Walmart has died, officials said.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said Wednesday that 62-year-old Bart Diguglielmo of Lauderhill died from his injuries.
The incident happened shortly before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday outside the store at 7900 W. McNab Road.
A witness captured the shooting on a cell phone video and cameras from a nearby Tesla showed the fatal incident unfold.
“Bad shoot. You can’t shoot someone for walking towards you.”
In the movie, The Irishman, Al Pacino, playing Jimmy Hoffa, says,
“You always charge a guy with a gun! With a knife, you run away.”
Apparently, the victim’s mistake was NOT charging!
Thanks for underlining the point I was trying to make to you Tango. A man is DEAD for arguing. The sex of the shooter is irrelevant and RACE should be irrelevant. But, the Veteran is DEAD and he should not have been shot. The shooter is most likely going to jail a long time. Whose daughter she is the court will not give a damn about.
I do and you are right. I’ve spent my life litigating development projects. I can guarantee you the court will not be interested in the shooter’s race or whether she was a mom or a nun or whatever. There will be two questions: #1 Did she in fact shoot the guy? #2 Did she have “legal” cause?
Everything else is noise. We just saw that in Colin County, Texas. Most likely, she will get a very favorable plea deal considering she is black, a woman and if they add lesbian or tranny to it she will probably get paid handsomely for shooting the poor guy.
I am only trying state an objective view of what I've seen.

Keep ignoring she got out of a safe locked car to first acost the man, she started and escalated this murder.
Using your own logic if she was so terrified why did she not drive away or call 911 from the car. You have 0 evidence the man was threatening her, in your perverted world view just walking to her is a life threat.
Self defense is based on proportionl response to the threat and not escalating the threat. You obviously want to justify her murder, you have no evidence he was a threat. Why did she not drive away instead of leave the safety of her car go threaten him with a gun?
Broward County Sheriff releases 911 calls for this case in the first update in a week. Still no charges at all per the last paragraph of this article from television station WSVN channel 7 local:
I continue to not understand how this woman had cause to exit her vehicle brandishing a loaded gun (Florida “improper exhibit of firearm” 784.021-1a). She wasn’t in fear; she was clearly angry. Because of the way Florida laws work, the SA may prefer to take the investigation to a Grand Jury for indictment or not.
FYI Update
As of this NYPost article July 9, 2026, the Broward County Sheriff Office has finished their investigation and turned the matter over to the prosecutor’s office. The prosecutor’s office is reviewing the case to determine if charges will be filed.
