A caregiver has been caught viciously beating a 93-year-old dementia patient with a soiled diaper before trying to choke her out in horrific footage released by police.
Dontia Shawnra Arrington, 26, has been charged for allegedly assaulting the vulnerable patient at Landings of Genesee Valley in Flint, Michigan on April 4.
The attack was caught on nanny cam, which was placed in the victim's room after her daughter noticed 'handprint bruises' on her mother as far back as December.
'I'm watching and all I kept saying was, 'My mom,' you know? 'Why are you doing this to my mom?' She's 93, 5-foot tall, a little 130-pound lady,' she told a press conference where the video was shown. 'Horrified. Just horrified.'
Footage shows Arrington repeatedly smashing a full diaper over the victim's head while she sits helplessly in her wheelchair and raises her arms in defense.

Look at the evil in our schools and government and this kind of evil should not come as a surprise.
>> [choking is] not the sort of thing I do
Yeah, you seem more the “blunt instrument” type to me. ;-)

As I get older, this is my nightmare.
HORRIBLE! I hope they throw the book at the caregiver...My husband was cared for at home. He had caregivers but they were never out of my sight...Toward the end in 2021, I had hospice for him at home and I could go on all day about hospice and would not have one good or kind word about it.
So many friends and family told me about their awful experiences with hospice after that and I couldn’t understand WHY they never told me what they went through. Had I known, I would never have had hospice for him. I am not bashful about telling people what our experience was with it.
He was then in the hospital for 10 days and could have come home but I didn’t have care arranged for him that fast so he was released to a nursing home with a different hospice agency involved. I was promised by the new hospice agency he’d be in a room with a view - the head of the bed was against a window ~~that revealed nothing TREES~~ and he was looking at a closet door. NO RAILS on the bed....a pad on the floor in case he fell out of bed was sufficient according to them. I got the bed moved AGAINST the wall at least.
He was in better shape in the hospital than he was in that nursing home. It was called an assisted care/memory care whatever. He visited with me when he was in the hospital. He begged me to call a friend who could get onto the airport to bring him ice cream. He had a vague memory of ice cream and our flying school business at John Wayne Airport in CA years before we moved from CA - and the difficulty gaining admittance to the field. He didn’t even talk at the other place. In fairness, I guess hospice was in charge, not the facility!!
I spent his last day with him at that other place, holding his hand but hospice drugged him so much, he never opened his eyes or knew I was there.
I haven’t quite used up the whole day with my rant but it’s sure messed up my BP.....This was in 2021 and still raw!!!
I looked.
It figures.
They were some of the most cheerful and kind hearted people I've ever known. But that was also four or five decades ago.
Too many potential caregivers today have had their souls darkened by the fruits of liberalism. It would be VERY difficult to find anyone as wonderful as those ladies had been.
If I ever found out that one of the staff at a nursing home abused my mom like that, legal charges are the last thing they would need to worry about.
Yes, Flint, MI, is exactly the democrat utopia you think it is. I have a female friend that works at a hospital there, she commutes from a small rural town. The things she hears from her colleagues that live in the city just makes you shake your head.
AMEN....how do we avoid being trapped in one of those if we don’t have advocates for our care? Absolutely necessary to have advance arrangements...
I understand what you must have gone through. That is indeed a very long time. It was difficult for me WITH help for my husband from a senior care agency who sent caregivers..most were of that color and I only had problems with one - her first day and I told the agency not to send HER again and they said, “we’ve had that same complaint about her before.” REALLY?
We had caregivers from just about every country on the continent of Africa - even one or two from metro Atlanta - LOL...In our free time, I enjoyed visiting with them and learning about their countries - which ones were good, bad, dictators, wars, etc.
“”that revealed nothing TREES”” - meant to be “nothing BUT trees....
It looks to me like it was some of that “rural, white rage”.
But it isn't just liberalism that fills some people's hearts with hatred. Some people get it from their parents and some get it from their pastors and/or friends.
I feel like I’d probably be a poisoner.
I do want to point out this happened in Flynt,Michigan.
Isn’t that one of many leftist Democrat utopias?
ONE of MANY.
These “leftist utopias” are just about EVERY major city, in the USofA, with very few, rare exceptions.
The downside of democrats ginning up hatred in the black community in exchange for votes and voter fraud is this type of violence.
It’s time for our police forces to stop babysitting the black community and for basic ‘right and wrong’ to be taught in public schools - and for schools to stop teaching sexual kink.
Keep family home. No day cares. No nursing homes.
ALLEGEDLY?????? ALLEGEDLY????? This animal was caught on tape, it's all right there for everyone to see.
