Hillary Clinton was among a string of famous guests who attended the White House state dinner for Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife Yuko Kishida on Wednesday. The former U.S. Secretary of State was joined by her husband, former President Bill Clinton.
For the event, Hillary fashioned a flowing purple and pink caftan. The fabric draped over the former Secretary of State with ease, featuring billowing sleeves and an ornately patterned design. Gold details were featured throughout the ensemble, blending the plum and pink hues together in seamless fashion.
Hillary completed the look with pointed-toe shoes and accessorized with delicate jewelry, including a simple string necklace and sparkling studs. The former first lady has fashioned caftan looks in the past, including a dazzling powder blue look embellished with crystals she wore to the 2022 Venice Film Festival.
For the White House state dinner, however, Hillary’s caftan mirrored a colorscape also worn by First Lady Dr. Jill Biden. As hostess for the evening’s festivities, Dr. Biden fashioned a glittering Oscar de la Renta gown from the fashion label’s fall 2024 collection. The sapphire ombré art nouveau crystal embroidered dress featured a cascading purple hue on the bodice of the gown, which perfectly complemented the purple gown worn by Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s wife Yuko Kishida.
Hitlery looks like she’s wearing the robes my mom used to wear. Looks like she gained a lot of weight.
What really astounds me is how nice the mag is to Hitlery, who’s wearing an old dressing gown.
[...hillary’s mumu?]
I think that’s called a Yurt. Traditionally it’s Mongolian, not Japanese.
Couch and curtain covers versus Barnum and Bailey circus tents Or the Big Mike WIDE Load lead and chase cars. JILL/HILL/BIG MIKE
In 2008, Mrs. Clinton supporters were claiming that it wasn’t over until the fat lady sings.
In 2024 Mrs. Clinton IS the fat lady.
Back in my day that was called a Moo Moo.
Is Kamala wearing a mask?
Well I have to say all the men are nicely dressed. I like Bill’s bow tie. I don’t think Hillary’s outfit is bad, it’s nice but I wonder if it’s an insult to the Japanese Prime minister because Kimonos gives the impression we American’s image of the Japanese like in the 1900s or something. A view of Japan as a Madame Butterfly kind of thing.
But I can’t get down on people for their clothes. Tacky and petty.
And contrast that to Melania.........
She must have just seen Gone With The Wind and bought some drapes from Goodwill.
If that’s the best Bezos can do as a billionaire, he might want to consider poverty instead.
Don’t forget the new stash of $$$$$.
