Meilin Keen was studying for the bar exam and preparing to move to New York City last June when she started throwing up blood.
Keen, 27 years old, learned days later that she has gastric cancer. She postponed the bar exam. Brain fog from chemotherapy made it hard to do her legal work.
Surgeons removed her stomach in December. Keen is coming to terms with all that means for her diet, her health, even her dating life. “That’s a fun icebreaker: I don’t have a stomach anymore,” she said.
Cancer is hitting more young people in the U.S. and around the globe, baffling doctors. Diagnosis rates in the U.S. rose in 2019 to 107.8 cases per 100,000 people under 50, up 12.8% from 95.6 in 2000, federal data show. A study in BMJ Oncology last year reported a sharp global rise in cancers in people under 50, with the highest rates in North America, Australia and Western Europe.

Doctors are racing to figure out what is making them sick, and how to identify young people who are at high risk. They suspect that changes in the way we live—less physical activity, more ultra-processed foods, new toxins—have raised the risk for younger generations.
“The patients are getting younger,” said Dr. Andrea Cercek, who co-directs a program for early-onset gastrointestinal cancer patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where Keen was treated. “It’s likely some environmental change, whether it’s something in our food, our medications or something we have not yet identified.”

Did you even read the article? The increase in cancer rates was measured between 2000 and 2019. Covid only appeared in late 2019 and vaccines against it were approved in 2021.
mRNA, even from sources outside of your body, is not carcinogenic, anyway. You eat it all the time—it’s in your food. Every time you have been sick with a virus in the past, your own body made virus mRNA. The trillions of microorganisms that live in your body also contain quite a bit of mRNA. Have you ever worried about the effects of foreign mRNA in your body before? Why are you only worried about foreign mRNA now? But one of the MDs (Columbia or Sloan Kettering or somesuch) was quoted as saying they’d already looked at genetics and there was at most a weak association for all these new cases.

The number of dumbass posters who link the increase in cancer rates to a vaxx that was not even invented as of the data points is truly astonishing. The collective IQ of Freepers has certainly declined during my 23 year tenure.
mRNA, no. Never worried about it before. But you are a clever liar and know full well Mutated-LabDesigned-Modified RNA is not simply “foreign rna, it was designed to reprogram your cells to make spike protein. If you are going to lie, at least try to be more convincing.
Increased cancer rates are related to childhood vaccines only because people have to survive long enough to get cancer. Before vaccines, half of all children died from infectious disease and overall life expectancy was less than forty years. Cancer was quite uncommon, since people have to live long enough to get cancer. Our life expectancy has doubled in the last 150 years because of vaccines. Few thirty year olds get cancer, but quite a few people sixty and over get cancer.
As for vaccinations themselves causing cancer, there is no biological mechanism for that. Vaccines invoke the completely natural function of adaptive immunity. If adaptive immunity (the production of pathogen-specific T-cells, B-cells, and antibodies) were carcinogenic, no species that uses adaptive immunity would be able to exist.
So many variables? Yup, keep the list going. There’s at least six ways known to make you die from getting the clotshots. Some get you before cancer even shows up.
I’m completely skeptical of the Covid jabs and don’t get any but actually reading the article, the date collection ends in 2019 which was prior to Covid and the subsequent Clot Shot.
The Pharma Jabs seem to cause health issues and I believe they do, but this isn’t a study to use to advance that case and is t at all relevant to that debate.

Cats get cancers at immunization sites. At least one such cancer has been reported following injection in a 4 year old child.
It is kind of you to reassure Freepers that there is no such mechanism in humans however researchers are not in agreement and the data is not yet in. There would be a huge economic implication in admission of a link between COVID jabs and development of cancers or more aggressive cancers in multi-vaccinated persons which has the potential to result in investigator bias.
