So many families destroyed …. which is exactly what the powers that be want. We here all know that, but our loved ones on the other side of the discussion don’t, and they’ve fallen into the trap laid by those who want our family and national unity weakened or dissolved. I don’t know how we ever put it all back together again.

I do know how we put it back together. It’ll happen when both sides find a common enemy or cause. In a perfect world, the enemy will be the power brokers, governments, media and medical community who foisted the covid destruction upon us. We need to come up with a way to get the other side to see what we’ve seen all along so we can join forces to take out that enemy. The drop in booster uptake suggests that some enlightenment has already happened, but there are still hardcore believers out there. They not only haven’t moved from their pro-jab/hair-on-fire, covid-is-the-end-of-the-world position, but they continue to influence others. I think Tucker Carlson was starting to make some headway. It remains to be seen if he’s out of the fight or will find another way to continue using his popularity to spread the truth.
I know when it happens, some of us will have to dig deeply to put our animus aside to welcome the hateful people back into our lives. I think I can be pleasant again to the people who disparaged and ostracized me for so long, but I don’t believe I’ll ever be able to rekindle the genuine warmth we once shared. Nor can we resurrect those who were so callously murdered inside the system. Some losses will be permanent.
