A few takeaways form last night. We did not have a "Red Wave" We barely managed to hang on to what we have Trump needs to retire. The defacto leader of the conservative movement is DeSantis Abortion and late term baby killing is more important to 50% of Americans than crime, inflation and energy independence. Republicans need to field candidates with competence and governance. Either we get rid of mail in voting or republicans learn to cheat like the democrats. We must expand our influence among Hispanic voters. With their family values they are extremely important. I am thankful if we can demote Pelosi. I'd rather have a 5 seat majority than none at all. I do wonder where Newt Gingrich's 40-60 seat tsunami went.
“Time for a national election holiday and everyone vote on a single day and limit absentee ballots to the military and people who ‘are in the hospital’ or otherwise truly cannot get to the polls. Yes, we should have voter ID, but I know that commonsense idea is still a hard sell even though these same people need ID to go on a plane, to do business at a bank, to go to a federal building...”
While I agree with your post, it would require a constitutional amendment to implement because the constitution expressly delegates election procedure to the states’ legislatures. The only way around is for Congress to hang a “golden carrot” in front of the states in an effort to convince the states to make the change on their own — like when congress withheld federal highway funds from states that did not lower the BAL for DUI to .08 or lower speed limits to 55 mph during the Jimmy Carter energy crisis of the 1970s.
Someone talking on Newsmax this morning that all this division began with Obama, I agree he was the beginning of hating each other based on color, religious preferences, sex, hating cops, he was a major divider!
Yep.
There's our biggest clue. Wake up, people
But the other bad thing about that is if we get rid of Trump - they learned that they can win with their evil ways.
I still can’t shake this bizarre feeling about Biden’s closing pitch ahead of the midterms. He said there’s going to be election deniers and that you must accept the results. Why would a President say this about a midterm that by all accounts he’s about to get crushed in? Weird.— Dave Smith (@ComicDaveSmith) November 8, 2022
At the risk of drawing fire, I think that the commentary here is from cry-babies and quitters. There ain’t nuthin’ easy about keeping this republic! President Trump deserves our support, for what he’s done for this nation. Trump has been in the crucible, De Santis has not! This country ain’t over until God says it’s over! This country was founded in covenant with God, of that there is no doubt. If Rush was here, he’d say that it isn’t yet “time to panic.” ‘nuff said!
Very true- he definately intentionally ramped up the racial divide, and was the cause of most of the riots which he never condemned and infsct approved of as he stoked the riots by blaming “white supremacy” for everything, and accusing cops of “systemic racism” when nothing coul.dbe further from the truth.
It was all part of his intentional “fundamental transformation of America “
Those who go along with all these Progressive ideas are more of less lost souls as once you start down that path it’s hard to back out.. Also the American voter will vote against their own best interests...
Desantis is a force to reckon with and others in the GOP should be modeling themselves after him.
That’s exactly what I was thinking when Biden gave that speech. Who else would he be talking to? Democrats?
After recent days, I am very reluctantly coming to agree with you.
I would vote for Trump again if he snagged the nomination, but the landscape is so changed now; politics are dynamic and don’t stand still. We will need something very different for a very different time.
I just don’t know who/what that would be, right now.
Pretty much true. Unfortunately however, he has lost some of his support due to his strong belief in the vaccines, and his inability to get election theft under control, including not really even having a plan other than to try to out vote the cheating.
There is no Republican Party without him.
I son’t agree with this, at all. We can’t pin all our hopes on an ~80 year old, multi vaccinated person. And don’t be surprised if he tries to take his supporters and run as an independent if he can’t get the Republican nomination.
He won in 2016, won in 2020, and could win again in 2024 if election fraud is checked.
He didn’t win in 2020, and he’s personally done little to correct election fraud since then, despite records showing he collected $250 million to “stop the steal” but has instead spent that money on rallies. If me saying this makes you mad maybe you should better target your anger at the person with the $250 million collected to fight fraud as it sure ain’t me.
The fraud in this election was coordinated with the RINOs to tarnish Trump.
Probably true. I’ve been saying for some time nothing was really being done to target it, especially these machines, so why should we expect any difference i. Results?
No machines, voting in-person only, finger ink like in India, and no Ranked Choice Voting (it violates one person / one vote). Anything other than that is outright fraud.
All good points I agree with. I just disagree with you that Trump is working to make any of that happen, assuming you kept reading this far.
And don’t misread me as anti-Trump. I recognize all the great things he has done, I just don’t confuse that with him being our only savior. He has room for improvement, and since he says loyalty is so important, he needs to go ahead and commit that he won’t run as an independent in 2024.
“We did not have a ‘Red Wave’”
I think we technically did, and we would’ve known that by this morning if we still had same-day voting as we did a few decades ago. All the fol-de-rol with mail-in, drop box, early voting, low-character saboteur election workers, etc., provides almost infinite opportunity for vote manipulation.
In the ‘80s the elections in my city the polls closed at 8 p.m., and results were clear before midnight.
Two months prior to an election, the machines were tested about once a week. Also, the Data Processing Review Board met four times a week from 6 to 11 p.m. testing the counting machines. Test batches were run, purposely inserting anomaly ballots to identify any issues. We were confident they were perfect on Election Day.
One remote precinct was 40 miles from the city. One year an avalanche prevented ballot boxes to be driven to the Counting Center; we hired a helicopter to bring them in. Still, results were known before midnight.
At one small precinct in a school we ran out of ballots. Voters (already checked in an verified) hand-wrote their choices on the backs of kids’ tests. Immediately after they were received at the Counting Center, Facsimile Board members (teams of one RAT and one GOP) duplicated votes on the official ballots, retaining the hand-written papers for seven years. Still, results were known before midnight.
Ballots were IBM punch cards. They worked; they were accurate. There was a paper trail for accurate recounts because the cards were retained for seven years. I think it was the Bush-Gore situation that put an end to that, sadly.
It doesn’t have to be this hard.
Ben Shapiro is on his podcast claiming we can win the Hispanic but he is so full of shit
Some of them like trump but they went back to their old ways last night except for South Florida where it’s a different breed of Hispanic
If The Left really does control the cops, then why are the cops against being defunded?
You go home with the one who brought you to the dance, Simple! Trump is that person. We shouldn’t be concerning ourselves about what other people are “not” doing, rather what it is we’re accomplishing. No man is our “Saviour.” Only Jesus Christ fills that bill. Trump can’t do it all!
I hope this isn’t too long…
1. This is the high-water mark for the Republican Party. This is the best they can do with everything in their favor.
2. Arizona wants their border open, they want the fentanyl and human trafficking, they want the cartels in charge…as long as they can continue to kill their own children.
3. Trump cannot win in this America. Obama and Biden kicked his ass all the way across Pennsylvania. It is a tragedy what they did to Trump from 2016 to 2020, but it will become a farce if he continues on.
4. I highly doubt that DeSantis could ever get to 270 either, the America that was America is gone and is never coming back.
5. I think we’ve seen the last Republican president. I think they become a permanent minority party next cycle.
6. The American people are not exceptional - quite the opposite actually. The Constitution and Bill of Rights have become window-dressing to the people, with a meaning that is whatever they feel like at the moment. As we sit here today, the “fundamental right” to kill your own children is more important to the American people, and more powerful, than anything written in those founding documents. It is apparently even more important than their immediate economic well-being.
7. The oil industry, coal industry, and anything else outside the Green New Deal will be shuttered forever within a dozen or so years. The American people want that…in fact, the American people believe more in Climate Change than they do in the God of the Bible. The Green New Deal will be the law of the land within 10 years.
8. The Great Reset/New World Order is here and will become the dominant international paradigm by the end of this decade.
9. The demographic time bomb that has been talked about for so many years has gone off…and still even more will pour over the southern border (along with the fentanyl that the American people want so much) in ever increasing numbers, to completely displace the former American population within our lifetimes.
when cops stand around while blm and antifa beat the crap out of conservatives, but step in once conservatives begin to defend themselves, then it’s a safe assumption that the cops are being controlled by the left- this happened over and over all across the nation- antifa and blm outright attacked cops even, and cops had to ‘stand down’ but they rush right in when abortion protestors stage peaceful protests-
All across the nation cops stood by and did nothing practically while over 250 riots were conducted by blm and antifa-
The message from the election is that a conservative wanting to make real changes will blocked from doing so by the Uniparty and Republican establishment and Deep State.
But it’s always been that way.
