My takeaways from last night.

Posted on 11/09/2022 6:39:09 AM PST by 2nd Amendment

A few takeaways form last night. We did not have a "Red Wave" We barely managed to hang on to what we have Trump needs to retire. The defacto leader of the conservative movement is DeSantis Abortion and late term baby killing is more important to 50% of Americans than crime, inflation and energy independence. Republicans need to field candidates with competence and governance. Either we get rid of mail in voting or republicans learn to cheat like the democrats. We must expand our influence among Hispanic voters. With their family values they are extremely important. I am thankful if we can demote Pelosi. I'd rather have a 5 seat majority than none at all. I do wonder where Newt Gingrich's 40-60 seat tsunami went.

The Justice Department deployed to 64 counties-municipalities yesterday to help the Democrats.

But I think the D’s lose in the end by less of a margin than expected.

It’s a spin war right now over ‘who won’...

If the “Trump is toast” meme progresses to its logical conclusion, the GOP will lose and lose big.

This is what a loser like Mittens or Jeb would want: He knows he’ll never be president, and just wants to eff things up for everyone else, whether they are good, bad, or indifferent.

You’re entitled to your opinion, but look at it from a Democrat’s point of view. Fights within the party are just what they want.

I liked Ted Cruz a lot in 2020 and donated to his campaign. DT made mincemeat out of him and the things that came out during the primary about Cruz took a lot of the shine off him for me. I still like him, but he looks a lot more like a regular old politician now and it’s disappointing.

Try to make Trump and Desantis fight and it will only be good for the gambling community - not the USA.

Amen Brother.

And many still hold those values, perhaps many more than the results have shown. Theft ruled the night.

However, we have become a nation gone astray and have become like Sodom and Gomorrah and turned to other gods.

Hold fast that which we have been given, a measure of faith, and one day soon we will receive that crown.

DeSantis can’t win.

Expect the dems to start and intensify continual demonization of DeSantis on every level much like they have President Trump. I'm sure the media are already getting their marching orders.

America was finished in 2008. We are just seeing later stages of rot in the carcass.

No, it’s popular, Trump is toxic.

Maybe we need Ron DeSantis to repackage it because whatever he did worked.

Whatever Trump is currently doing is failing.

I watched the primary count in Arizona earlier this year it was delayed to delay the impact of Kari Lake’s win.

Same scenario if it plays out like the primary will be Kari Lake winning on Friday night when people don’t pay attention to the news.

Can’t give Trump a victory when everyone is paying attention to the news.

1 - don’t campaign on “my opponent is an idiot”, people want a reason to vote FOR you, give them some
2 - don’t talk about election fraud when you’re a candidate, all you’re really doing is telling your audience they won’t count

Here is my take... ANY republican that runs and wins the presidency WILL be turned into a white supremacist boogieman or woman by the left. Having so eone else as lr3sident will not make the left quit their vile nasty attacks, and they will spin it as “the nation wants unity, not division, like so and so is causing”

The left have a,ways treated any republican president very badly, BUT, things ramped into high gear when Obama taught them that they could say whatever they wanted, do whatever they wanted to Republicans, and Noone would prevent them fro. Doing so.

The nastiness by the left really went into high gear after Obama took the office. That is really when the left began e gaging in a hostile takeover of this country, when the .eft saw that they really could “fundamentals transform the nation” agasint the Wil. Of the nation, knowing that the nation wouldn’t do a yhtig. Tl stop them, and if they did, they would end up as federal prisoner like Jan 6th protestors have.

The only red wave occurred in a state where fraud was tackled by DeSantis.

Take aways from the Mid-term Election Results
1. The American Voter likes free stuff.
2. The American Voter is fine with all this Progressive Social Engineering.
3. Trump is too toxic for Independents and Milk Toast Republicans .
4. Joe Biden freezes out any Democrat challengers for 2024.
5. The American Voter is fine with massive inflation and gas prices.
6. The time has come for a discussion of a National Divorce.
7. Desantis is a force to reckon with.

Trump’s MAGA positions were correct. It’s not the message that’s failed-It’s the messenger. Trump for all his faults exposed the depths of depravity in the DC swamp. But someone else needs to take the torch, be more of a statesman like Reagan.

I think it comes down to ideology vs. politics.

The right - especially right now - seems to confuse the two. We seek more ideological purity and don’t play the game. This has been a problem since the late 80s.

The left plays the game to a T. They govern like leftists because that’s is their ideology. However, in the game of politics, they play like a center-right most of the time because hey know this country is divided almost right down the middle politically.

Until and unless the right/GOP figure this game out, they will continue to fail at elections in the real swing states of Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia.

We can’t learn to cheat like they do because they own and co trol, everything, ie the fbi, cops, courts, judges, voting overseers etc, and they will be right on top of,the cheating and me a huge deal out of it. They get to cheat because they co trol everything g. Even the Supreme Court who kept saying over and over “no standing g” when repubub, icans tried to question the resu.ts.

There was significant fraud committed, in my opinion. Why wouldn’t there be, when Democrats not only got away with it in 2020 but rubbed it in our faces?

Here’s what I don’t get. Georgia Republicans won statewide offices by comfortable margins, blowing out Abrams completely, and Walker is still barely losing the senate race? That is plausibly impossible without a little “engineering.”

It is by no means the fault of President Trump, but rather the fault of the Republican candidates who refused to have Trump at all their rallies and never asked President Trump to do TV commercials on their behalf.

The upside to all of this is the today, President Trump, going into his Announcement, is by far the strongest presidential candidate we have seen in our lifetimes.
