Meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom,' NASA says
The “bright fireball” was traveling at 35,000 mph when it exploded at 8:03 a.m. with the “energy equivalent of 3 tons of TNT,” according to NASA Meteor Watch, the agency's project that tracks fireball activity.
“Existing law states that any meteorites belong to the owner of the property on which they fell; out of respect for the privacy of those in the area, we will not disclose the locations of these finds,”
And finding anything of value is likely harder than you think.
“The pieces from this object were way too small to leave a crater. Unlike what you see in the movies, meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom’ that blast holes in the ground. In fact, you can pick one up right after it hits ground. So no smoking rocks in small craters.”

Good morning.
That looks like your heart was in your throat for a minute! Good job making it work, though!
Yes, I agree — they are getting trickier! Either that or we’re not reading as much as we should!
Funny Nully!! :o])
If you’re not doing anything, that’s totally okay. I went to Weight Watchers and then got crickets at Petsmart.
I have got to figure something out about the kitteh situation. I’m not liking it the way it is.
You wouldn’t want Jake. He’s a pain!
Yeahbut. Cats.
Well, your 5 train didn’t get lost, only mis-routed.
I guessed this 5-letter word in 5/6 tries.

Indeed.
It looks like it’s going to rain again. DP and I are going to a concert Uptown this evening. We’ll take Pat.
It’s all clabbered up, and my mother would have said. Muggy as all get-out, though. Unngh. Waiting for less humidity.
Enjoy the concert! Be safe both ways, too!
I don’t think there’s much reason to worry about going uptown on a rainy Tuesday, and it’s a small concert - I think the venue’s capacity is around 100 - not the sort with crowds and shooting.
I think I was thinking more in terms of “watch out for the other guy” as you’re driving. But that’s my standard wish for travelers, anyway!

Double letters are really hard because your mind over looks them as an option.
The last few minutes of the work day are ticking by very slowly today.
Maybe because I know that 7:30 is ribs time.

“And the world is cold
But it’s beautiful
I wish you were here now
I miss your soul
But you lost your light
When the darkness called
But I stand here waiting
The last to fall”
The induced sound of tortured energy tearing through vessels outside the station rang through the floors and walls.
Jacob was happy that someone had at least gotten to the gate and thrown a wrench into it for the time being.
Presently he was dropping from above down onto some panicked enemy who strangely were not expecting a rabbit to be attacking them on a station populated by rabbits.
Curious, that.
*Be careful, love. Don’t get overconfident and careless.*
The echo of his wife chimed in bringing him back into focus.
Somehow he’d painted the immediate area with blood and body parts.
“What the?!” a genuinely horrified voice screamed to his left.
Jacob, looking for all the world like a supernatural serial killer from a movie heaved the body he was holding overhead and threw it at the interlopers in an uncalculated move of distraction and demoralization.
He was on them in a second immediately after, a flurry of claw and gunfire as he tore through them.
He thought he must have been more injured than he originally thought as he couldn’t recall the details of his actions, it was as if moving in a dream.
Or being a passenger in his own body.
Snippets of the action were coming through to his conscious thoughts, impressions really.
Nothing completely solid to pin onto or hold.
*Daddy?*
Jacob stopped short.
He looked at his hands, dripping and shaking from adrenaline and injury, decorated with the gore of a hundred souls.
He looked out the windows he had wandered close to in time to watch the main attacking vessel depart with the abducted onboard.
Bloody handprints smeared the glass as he raged, a small white piteous figure against the blackness of space.
“Command, teleport is down! We can’t get out!” that came from nearby.
Jacob slowly walked close to the source as a loud bang was heard, flickering lights ominously underscored his movement.
“Nor will you.” he said.
And the lighting failed completely.
Frantic weaponfire pierced the shadows, tellingly growing less and less until finally silenced.
I’m not good with those
