In certain parts of the country – namely, states with no massive mandates or lockdowns – the novel coronavirus pandemic seems to have had a less noticeable impact on the daily lives of individuals and business owners. Other states, like California and New York, have been dealing with perpetual “states of emergencies,” rapidly expanding mandates and other impositions that threaten the autonomy and basic rights of their citizens.
Now, lawmakers in New York appear to be taking steps to mirror the Orwellian moves of Australia, where quarantine camps for COVID positive individuals (and even COVID negative individuals) are now commonplace.
New York Senate preparing to vote on a bill that would allow for forced removal of COVID positive individuals. As reported by The National Pulse, the New York Senate and Assembly are preparing to vote in the next legislative session (to be held on January 5, 2022) on a bill that would lay the groundwork for forced “removal of cases, contacts, and carriers of communicable diseases who are potentially dangerous to the public health...”

Do it. People need to be punished for their stupidity or complacency.
“Do it. People need to be punished for their stupidity or complacency.”
Don’t forget people that disagree with you about what’s stupid or complacent. They’re the worst.
Imagine the outcry if a Republican governor was trying to do this with AIDS.
It’s times like this that I even wonder why the hell we have courts. They will not hesitate sticking their noses and rulings into out business without being asked, but when it comes to our rights, they are worthless sacks of guano!
Can’t wait till this goes nationwide ….. YAWHOO
My wife always wanted to move to the Finger Lakes when we retire. Now, it would only happen if western ny created its own state.
Sigh...
This has been done already.
While it is true that this should never have been proposed in the first place, it actually was first proposed back in 2015. No action was ever taken on it.
It was also struck from the legislative agenda by the sponsor a couple of weeks ago.
As employers are begging their fired un-vaxxed employees to return.
I wish it has been built into the US Constitution and every state constitution that each and every piece of legislation — and each and every court decision — MUST reference specific language in the existing legislation that justifies whatever new action is being taken.
Gun Control laws? Show me specifically where in the Constitution that government is handed the power to infringe the right to keep and bear arms.
Abortion? Show me the sentence in the Constitution that makes that legal.
NY state is forcing people take injections? Did the state legislature pass a law? Does the state constitution say they can do that?
We are now deep in the land of “Because I Said So”. And this is specifically the place that we are not supposed to be. Where is my Limited Government??
The country is in a defined transition. Good Luck FRiend
New York…….
“Hmmmm. How can we kill more people in the rest homes?”
This was posted several days ago and several of the commenters pointed out that the bill was retracted.
So, right now this is a non-sequitur.
Tough to accept, but these are the facts ... this is reality.
My MIL retired to the Finger Lakes Region.
All of her neighbors are Mennonites.
They are wonderful people—very friendly, very helpful—a strong community that creates and follows their own rules.
If you visit the Mennonite areas you will think you have traveled back in time—they are unaffected by the modern craziness.
Ignore the mass media headlines—and visit the area for yourself.
Sarin gas was found to be an efficient ‘removal’ procedure.
Our posts will not be seen. :-/
Would be nice if we could ask to flag threads as non-sequiturs…

The people who introduced this bill need to be dealt with.
