Just about everything in that article is false.
I design phone chargers and PMICs.

Whenever I pump gas, there is a sign that says to turn off your cellphone. I have never done that. And I pump gas often while using the phone.

It may not be good for the phone or charger, but I do it all the time.

“Using A Mobile Phone while Charging – Is It Dangerous?”
Seems it would depend on how much it costs.

As an electrical engineer, I believe it’s a safe bet that the 5v 2.1A (maximum) output from a cell phone charger would not electrocute an infant mouse, much less a human.
Prove me wrong.

Now think about this a bit. Using your phone while it's charging means
less current is going to the battery (because it's running the phone). How could
less charging current make the battery blow up? It can't.
Keeping your phone connected to the charger (whether you're using the phone or not) once the battery has reached 100% charge is not a good idea.

Never use your phone while charging.
Come to a complete stop. Sheath your sword. Answer the phone. Complete the call. Unsheath your sword. then resume your charge.

Creates A Bulge Using your phone while it is charging can cause the battery to expand in size which will eventually lead to the battery exploding. Battery bulging was a problem with the Samsung Galaxy Androids such as mine and it had nothing to do with using it while charging.......It was just a flaw in the phone.
As for my new Galaxy A71, I'm still using the easy charging pad I used with the last phone......

Does anybody else remember when hospital rules prohibited cell phone use? The thought was that using a cell phone in the hospital with blow out circuits and expensive technical equipment. Or something like that.

Does this mean using the mobile phone to make phone calls, or any use? Is it safe to read the latest FR articles while your cell phone is charging?

Eh?
I answer the flip phone when it is charging with no problem. Is this only a smart phone issue?
