Now think about this a bit. Using your phone while it's charging means less current is going to the battery (because it's running the phone). How could less charging current make the battery blow up? It can't.

Keeping your phone connected to the charger (whether you're using the phone or not) once the battery has reached 100% charge is not a good idea.

Power flow is seriously regulated in modern devices. It’s not going to draw dangerous current just because it’s charging and calling at once.
