I think in addition to being afraid of being wrong, they are also unable to swallow how pervasive the fraud in this country is and how much they are being lied to.
They like their lives the way they are, or at least, what they thought their lives were like.
The left / right paradigm is familiar and comfortable, as is getting mad at the NY Times and WaPo, pointing out media hypocrisy, mocking the absurdity of identity politics, etc.
Making that switch to a populist / nationalist vs globalists / deep state gestalt is a big step, especially when you have to also come to grips with the fact that you are an outsider and a pleb in that scenario.

The US Constitution lays moot the Constitutions of the States at this time and place.
This is a well composed opinion and, as if it matters, I agree with it 100%.
The upshot of that opinion is that if Pence were to take the route decided, it would be an Article II act and NOT subject to any SCOTUS review.
The only other action is for Pence to adjourn for a time-certain and hand the “certifications” back to the States to heal (re-certify) or nullify their elections.
One last word.
Remy is correct in saying that the Certificates are null in the States that have allowed fraud.
