I have been posting articles on FR off and on for 22 years, and in that time I have become very good at using HTML to create the type of posts I like. Yet ever since FR changed the carrier of the site, none of my links work on articles I post. I have not changed what I use as HTML code, it's just that what I use does not work on FR any more. And not only links, but much of the HTML on my profile page is all screwed up as well.
Is there a logical reason for this?
Well, I don’t brag. You would see if I allowed my name to be published, but I prefer to keep my donations between me and who I donate to.
I hate bragarts.
I have donated more than you could imagine
Chode, the image I posted via the same HTML is visible. So sorry, but it is NOT ME!
Notice how your link was broken? So was mine. As I said the same HTML code everyone at FR has been using since the inception.
The FR IP number changed during the recent system move.
You may be trying to use relative links that are referring to the old IP number.
Try using absolute links.

I visited your profile and clicked on the button to see your replies here at FreeRepublic.com.
Here is a reply of yours:
https://freerepublic.com/focus/news/3909179/posts?page=41#41
that includes in your comments, a link to a Patriot Post website story:
https://patriotpost.us/opinion/74535-vote-trump-save-america-2020-10-30
I have entered some spaces, so that the following can be displayed but not active HTML, and I removed the quotation marks before and after the URL address:
< a href= https://patriotpost.us/opinion/74535-vote-trump-save-america-2020-10-30 >David Limbaugh Is A Trump Supporter< a >< br / >< br / >
You do not have a closing for the “a href” string. You have an
a
instead of
/a
Otherwise, as I look over 1 page of your replies, I do not see any Character Set issues.
And, your profile page looks OK.
So, you have a problem aboard your computer/software.
i’m not saying it’s you... and i’m sure it isn’t
please indulge me and post a pic to me
thank you
I think the other poster’s recommendation to clear your cache has merit. FWIW, links work fine for me on FR.
NO, I am using absolute links as in this. For the example I dropped off the first “<” that begins the HTML so you can see the code I used.
a href=”https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians%204:6-7&version=NKJV” target=”blank”> Philippians 4:6</a>
Now wI’ll post the link with the “<” added so you will only see the Scripture I linked to
So my advice is to either don’t use quotes inside HTML tags, or be very careful to use only the plain-vanilla ASCII apostrophe or plain-vanilla ASCII double-quote. Leave that fancy “Smart Sh*t” for MS-Word.
“Unless the NSA hacked into your system.”
More likely minions of Her Thighness or the DNC.
If I clear my cache I then need to add my passwords to sites I cannot remember what they are.
I add my password on sites I want protection, but most I could care less because they are just for information
But I will not start forcing myself to change passwords all over the place.
This is only a problem on FR, no place else
Check Freepmail...
I have wondered, because it was after FB blocked my post I wrote on the book of Hebrews I began having troubles.
When I posted the article hear, it worked, two days later the links were all broken.
I know they cross platform to screw with us, and I have pissed them off enough I guess, but this is just ridiculous.
I actually think that this is just a problem with FR.
I have the ANSWER !!!

LOL, I understand that, Well I do code.
This is why I know it is not me.
I have taught myself how to code, and I am good at it, and I know when something is just not right.
Your profile page needs an overhaul. Many links are dead.
The site you use for Muslim hadith no longer exists.
I used to use the same one.
The book and hadith numbers are not in the preferred system. (There are at least 3 systems.)
Which post links are not working? I don’t see any in forum.
