They can also match it up with cell phone records and social media posts. The looters that have been caught so far in our town have been hit with bails from $10K to $100K on state charges. The one with the $100K bail is being held out of state by the feds for inciting a riot via social media. He faces 5 years and $250K fine for that. I think once the word starts getting around people will contemplate if it is worth committing criminal acts.
The fines best be high because some of those organizers make $225,000 a year.

We put up a camera on our house after our cars were vandalized, and all of the new constructions going up in our town have built-in multi-camera systems.

If my theory is right, I would expect to see repeating cycles of mayhem, followed by relative calm.
Maybe there were threats to release the murderer hornets if the “protesters” transitioned into rioting, looting, thugs. What are they protesting now? Aren’t the killer cops going to face the music? Are they going to protest until there is not a drop of racism left in the world? Good luck. Humans always have been and always will be human....some very good, some very bad, and most in between.
This could be part of Trump’s winning strategy in November: Calling out white governors and mayors for refusing to protect their black citizens from white leftist interlopers.

It rained fairly heavily in some places last night and more storms are on the way today, so I think that helped.
Also, I think they have quietly been arresting some of the leaders, who certainly are liable for federal charges. They deputized a Florida NG regiment in DC as US marshals last night, which gives them arrest powers, so they will be able to do what the local police forces wouldn’t be allowed to do. Also, in this situation the arrestees won’t be turned loose again three hours later, as is happening in most Dem cities.
