Reports newly released by the Naval Safety Center reveal more information on the bizarre encounters U.S. Navy pilots have had with unidentified flying objects off the east coast of the United States. Eight hazard reports filed with the center's web-based reporting system were acquired under the Freedom of Information Act by The Drive and detail strange run-ins that include a near mid-air collision with a balloon-like object and a sighting of a suitcase-sized aircraft. In one 2014 encounter, the Navy jet reported even being able to lock onto the object with an air-to-air missile.

Ever rim-ward!
Weren't you the one telling me how great our geniuses in the desert were? Show a little faith man!
Aurora, or whatever they are calling it lately, has at least functional rotation pulse detonation engines, or some sort of scramjet engines, and possibly even nuclear powered ones. They may have something even fancier, which would be more in line with 50 years ahead of everyone else!

No. someone else. I mentioned Maxwell, a Scot who lived in the 19th century and Tesla, a Serbian-American who lived in the early 20th in other posts.
Stop with the Aurora fiction. Not even Jane’s knows anything about it. Only youtubers seem to put any stock in the fiction.
I have no idea what your first sentence is saying. The last thing to some out of the SkunkWorks was the B-2 decades ago. The next thing we are likely to see from them is the B-21 in a few years. The PhantomWorks gave us the X37-B now under Space Command control. That’s it - the rest is classified.
Fancier would be a Zero Point Drive, not anything remotely common like nuclear.
“Foo fighters”?
All I can find is stuff about a band... What’s a Foo fighter, please?
Thank you.
Many thanks.
Sampsonite.
Comments like yours are why I love FR. Personal recollections of unknown historical events and different angles on history from personal experience.
My dad has one from his best friend at the time about the cover up in the Kennedy assassination.
That’s a brand name I haven’t heard since back in the 60s and 70s.
The base is Groom Lake. The airspace above Groom Lake is Area 51.
Most have no idea of this distinction.
I posted a point of order with the intention that what I wrote would not be viewed as argumentative. If you were annoyed, not my intention as it was an effort to educate and inform others on this thread. I should have been more clear.
This is probably ten aliens, stealing Dad’s ride and buzzing human fighter pilots for fun.
At least neither of us is lizards
Their view is of Satan as the accuser, the tester, but fully in the court of God - kind of like Satan in Job.
What you said "Ive read the entirety of what we Christians call the Old Testament, Genesis through Malachi, about thirty times" -- but the key word is the "Christian"
I was having a nice discussion with Jewbacca on another thread and that's in reference to the picture below
NOTE:
1. the green line to the Samaritans is from the top box "Judaism"
2. the Top box is mis-labelled. it should not be "Judaism" but it should be "Hebrew religion"
we Christians hold the Torah, the written Torah. We take it from the Septuagint.
However Modern-day (Common-Era) Judaism is different from 2nd Temple Judaism.
The CE Judaism is derived from what we see in the gospels as "Pharisees"
This means that they derive NOT ONLY FROM THE WRITTEN TORAH, but also from the Oral Torah, from Jewish teachers discussions over centuries. The Talmud is worth reading - to understand our CE Jewish brothers
The CE Judaism is a sister religion to Christianity. Christianity is NOT derived from this CE Judaism, but both are derived from 2nd temple Judaic sects.
So, right from 30 AD we have disagreed.
BEfore the destruction of the 2nd temple, when the book of Revelations was written the Jesus-movement Jews were STILL meeting in synagogues with the Pharise-sect Jews and we have the term "synagogue of Satan' -- that's NOT calling all Jews that -- because the "christians" were STILL Jews. It's a diatribe against the other Jewish sects that opposed the Jesus-movement Jewish sect.
Judaism, or rather 2nd temple Judaism included both the Pharisees and the Jesus-movement (along with others).
The destruction of the temple in 69 AD kick-started the separation because the other sects got destroyed.
Why were the Jesus-movement and Pharisee sect the only two sects that survived? Because they came up with means to survive without the temple and its sacrifices - the Jesus movement said that Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice and we no longer needed to sacrifice, while ben Zakkai in 70 AD said that the sacrifices were no longer needed. Sadduccees and Zealots were tied to the temple and the Essenes saw it as the end of the world
Actually the destruction of temple was the end of the Jewish world - the temple and Jerusalem were New York, London, Rome, all combined in one - religious, cultural, economic, etc. -- this is what we see in the book of the revelation - the end of the world.
The Pharisees were a rival sect. Think of this as Prussia with the fight between Calvinists and Lutherans -- deep dogmatic differences
The CE Jews defined their canon only in 70 AD and rejected the Septuagint, even though the Septuagint was the basis for most 2nd temple Jews.
The reason was that the Septuagint has a lot of pieces that support the Jesus-movement sect
The Jesus-movement Jewish sect already had, before the destruction of the temple - nearly all the Epistles in the New Testament, the 3 Synoptic Gospels plus the book of Revelation. The Gospel of John is probably the only book written after the destruction of the Temple
CE Jews closed their canon in 70 AD and the Talmud is also elevated (the Oral Torah)
So Christians and CE Jews will have different beliefs, but will have spiritual ancestors who are the same - like for instance the differences between Oneness Pentecostals and Christian Scientists
the very term “Jewish” can be vague - because of its ancientness.
I use the terms CE/Modern Jewish to define the belief systems since AD 70 And the Council of Jamnia with Rabbi Ben Zakkai. This vaguely includes the Karaites even though they (the Karaites) reject the Talmud and the Oral Torah. This term CE/Modern Jews I use to include reform, orthodox, Hassidic etc. Jews by religion.
I use the term “Jewish ethnicity” to define anyone who had a Jewish ancestor or who acknowledges that — so the Messianic Jews (who, in my opinion are really just Christians with a Jewish ethnic background) - this one is a bit “dangerous” as quite frankly I believe if we go back far enough nearly all of us have SOME ancestry from Abraham - think of it, that was 4000 years ago, some people intermarried, rape etc. which would have spread the Abraham genes throughout the Middle East and Egypt and Iraq and then with the Persian conquests, Greek conquests, Roman conquests, Arab conquests, Jewish traders to India (some of whom settled in 500 BC), to Europe etc. - the genes would have spread.
Jesus/Jesu/Ieseous/Y’Shua/Yehoshua and His Apostles and the majority of the first “christians” were ethnically Jewish and were religiously 2nd temple Jews. They believed in a Messiah who was the God of the Jews but they remained strongly Jewish, and monotheistic.
But, there wre other 2nd temple Jewish sects who disagreed with them - and Jewbacca is spiritually descended from them, while we are spiritually descended from the Jesus-movement Jews.
the Jesus-movement Jews were STILL meeting in synagogues with the Pharise-sect Jews
As Paul and Luke make clear in Acts.
The Gospel of John is probably the only book written after the destruction of the Temple
There are a few worthy folk who'd be happy to discuss that.
the Messianic Jews (who, in my opinion are really just Christians with a Jewish ethnic background)
God's kids innocuously playing "dress up."
MEANWHILE, Jewbacca's objection was to Dr. Ross' claim (post 72) that rUFOs (residual UFOs, the 1% not explained by natural and man-made phenomena) are realm-jumping demons. Do you express your own opinion?
Hello - I just wanted to share what I discovered from various books over the past few months. This was not to presume to “educate you” but to share what I’ve read.
I strongly urge getting the book “First-century Judaism in Crisis” by Neusner. That was definitive but also leading to this was the b”More than a Carpenter” by McDowell and “the day that Christ died” by Jim Bishop plus also :coming soon: unlocking the book of revelation” by Michael Barber.
The chart is NOT MINE - but it’s the best I’ve seen. It’s from a Jewish site.
As to the point of the post - I don’t see there being enough information to have any opinion. It could be natural/man-made phenomena that we can’t yet explain, it could be aliens, it could be realm-jumping demons.
I think there’s too much in this world that we don’t know yet. it could be one of those inexplicable things or it could be just something silly. I don’t know and don’t want to spend any time thinking about something I can’t read up on or put a mental structure on and which doesn’t affect me. If someone else wants to do that, so be it, it’s their choice. I’d rather stick with history facts - there’s a lot to uncover there! :)
