Would you support a Trump request for Walmart, Costco etc, to implement purchase limits?

In fact if I were Trump, I’d call in all the big box people, Walmart, Costco etc and tell them to tell to immediately develop *temporary* policies where the panicked and greedy can only have two cases of water per person or 3 bottles of hand sanitizer, etc...No more BS where ya see people rolling out with 3 full baskets of tissues, water, sanitizer etc.

I’d put of quick stop to that nonsense.

I bought a bunch of stuff Tuesday, it wasn’t all for me, so no, you don’t know just by seeing a purchase that it is some hoarder, wannabe reseller or someone buying for multiple families.

If you’d taken inventory and bought a few extra spplies in January like I did, or always had extra on hand like I do, you wouldn’t be fazed. That people DON”T have supplies on hand should be shameful.

I’d like to see The President mention it and use moral suasion as an impetus

I would suggest to get to the store at opening since many of the supplies are delivered and shelved overnight. you may not be able to find hand sanitizer because the warehouse itself may be sold out but you should be able to get things like bottled water and food stuffs Which have been resupplied

Each item you state is not necessary for anyone.

I don’t mind Trump asking, but honestly, if a store doesn’t want to, it shouldn’t.

no. the source of the problem is the enemy of the people - mass media. we need to un-hypnotize, deprogram people instead of resorting to regulation.

I’m more a fan on market-induced gouging. That would stop the unnecessary hoarding.

Read sound economists take on the function of prices, such as Thomas Sowell. Restrictions on price adjustments is exactly the problem.

I’m surprised they haven’t, but then again they are ‘globalist companies’ and they are money hungry and they do not give a rats behind about you and me as long as you buy from them...

I seen the CEO yesterday from Wal Mart, he visited the store where I used to work, he’s a ‘business man who doesn’t care about his associates unless they are making money for his globalist company’...

I was not impressed...but that is what you get with these types of businessmen...Our President was kind of like that but he did care more for people and he took care of the people who worked for him, and if he heard of someone having a hard time, he did take care of them...

Watch what he does with Roger Stone, he will pardon him in the end...

All of this could be resolved by focusing again on Tulip Bulb futures.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulip_mania

“Tulip mania (Dutch: tulpenmanie) was a period in the Dutch Golden Age during which contract prices for some bulbs of the recently introduced and fashionable tulip reached extraordinarily high levels and then dramatically collapsed in February 1637.[2] It is generally considered the first recorded speculative bubble.[3] In many ways, the tulip mania was more of a hitherto unknown socio-economic phenomenon than a significant economic crisis.”

I shop at Sam’s club to supply my 12 employees a family of 5 and basic supplies for my church. How would it be fair if you limited my purchases?

Look it, local supply chains are going to have work themselves out, rationing won’t help that and it will bring panic and hoarding.

Beat the trucks and the crowd. A good opportunity for those who were drinking instead of planning to have a sober night and an early morning.

No one needs bottled water or sanitizer to address COVID.

You could just as easily be demanding that Swiffers be handled the same way, due to their “necessity.”

Limits on chewing gun, too!

No. Not at all. The panic will abate and the stores are being restocked regularly. Individual stores do what needs to be done, depending on their situation. NO GOVERNMENT MANDATES.
