Good grief! Doesn't the POTUS have a duty to be of good character? If someone in the SS detail witnesses high crimes and misdemeanors, would he not have the duty to report it for the sake of his oath? For the sake of the people of the U.S.?

I agree. Didn't someone once say "character means doing what's right when no one is watching"? When someone is watching, even a person of weak character should behave in a manner that at least looks good to the unwashed masses. Lady Macbeth was so contemptuous of the SS she didn't think it worth her time.

This is a republic, not a monarchy. How long should he have to hold his tongue? He is writing about things from 20 years ago. You think it should be silence forever?

Well he didn’t sign The Official Secrets Act like in England. Are agents required to sign Non Disclosure Agreements or something to that effect?

This Former Agent is writing about what when on almost 20 years ago. I think that is a long enough time period for him to be able to say whatever he wants.
