The article is an editorial, and the headline is false. The IRS commissioner didn't say anything close to that.
So Trump is being audited and is a target of the IRS.
This slams the door on the “release his taxes crowd.”
There are MANY things wrong with the article. The author relies on people not reading only the headline and not the article, not knowing who John Kiskenen is much less that Congress is considering impeaching him for lying, etc. And people will fly off the handle simply from reading the title.
Then why did you post it without at least stating this in your first comment?

Thought my first comment was pretty clear that I thought it was a bunch of crap. Most Freepers are smart enough to form their own opinion with someone having to tell them what to think. I also think it is important to know and see and read articles like this to know what is being put out there.

It doesn’t. I have never seen it a requirement to post a complete summary and critique of an article in the OP comments.
Because I think it is important to see what is being written for the opponent.
So the head of the criminal organization reveals private information about a taxpayer. This is a violation of Trump’s rights and Trump should call attention to that fact. That koistenen creep is a liar and has broken the law.

Then, you should have written your opinion in your comment. As you wrote it, it looks like you were responding to the fabricated quote in the headline.
He actually said no such thing. The title of the article and much of the article is a lie. If you watch the CSpan video at the link you’ll see he does not comment specifically. The author took some “liberties”. IOW, he’s a liar also.
