They had security, officials and coaches at the 50 yard line BEFORE the to explode.game, so everyone knew this was a tinder box ready
From 1891 to 1911, Pittsburgh really was officially spelled Pittsburg (no last h). Perhaps inchworm is a really, really old yinzer and is just recalling his childhood days in the Steel City.
:)
Big egos combined with thug culture equals a loss. Worst playoff game I’ve ever watched.
Point taken. But at least the Michigan choke was a result of a play. This choke was a result of complete stupidity.
lol I am using this
Burfict’s hit was terrible.
But talking heads are reviewing the Steeler hit again and declaring a bad (non-)call. It was indeed a horrid hit, no matter how you slice it.
I would be livid as a fan or as a coach over this total thug stupidity. There was a great chance Suisham would make the shot even so, but these 2 idiots made it sooo very easy. Morons.
To have unquestionably the best division record, have a great last quarter with the possibility of squeeking by for win, then completely hose it with bad behavior - unforgiveable!
This poor woman. Who got multiple photos of her and started passing it around the net? Making fun of her in the process? That has to hurt, or will when she finds out.
“Thanks. The announcers said a Bengal shoved someone, then the camera showed some Pittsburgh assistant coach walking among the players. I thought the Bengal shoved that coach”
Refs lost control of that game, they saw it coming, and still let it happen.
How is it they can allow a Pitts assistant coach to walk onto the field, get in the middle of three or four Bungle
players and goad them on. Well it worked, but it should have been a negating penalty on both sides
Agreed. I asked Fred Lynn if the reason Neon Deion never showed up a pitcher in baseball was because he would have gotten a 90 mph baseball in his ear, he said, yep.
"Goad them on", that's quite possible...and something that I had not considered.
There’s a video where they were carting Ben off after the shoulder injury and someone threw a water bottle at him.
If it was Joey Porter (not sure if it was), then I have no doubt their was some “goading” going on.
If the Bengals had any class - or compassion - they'd reach out to that woman and offer her something special, maybe premium box seats for all of next season.
Why the ref even had his viola on the field, Iâll never know.
He was just stringing us all along...
And Pacman Jones was the cherry on top.
They should both be traded and Lewis should be fired.
I feel for the Cincy fans. That was the worst meltdown that I can remember. Totally unnecessary and idiotic.
Yup.
If they're not severely disciplined by the league, the NFL commissioner has to go as well.
Hasn't she suffered enough?
Ok. I’ve seen people cite Bills-Oilers, huge comebacks, Michigan’s blocked punt against MSU. I saw a Browns game-winning field goal blocked and returned for a game winning touchdown this year. I was at Red Right 88 and The Drive. I saw The Fumble and in the NBA The Shot. I saw Seattle lose the Super Bowl on a bad play call.
To me, THIS was the biggest choke I ever saw. Cinci’s fumble would have made it just a normal choke. Burfict’s penalty elevated it to Epic Choke. Jones’ penalty elevated it to the stratosphere of All Time Epic Choke.
Everything else I witnessed generally had to do with natural plays. Things that can and do happen. This was off the charts.
I guess the only choke that I’ve seen sort of similar was the Dwayne Rudd Helmet Toss. When the Browns lost a game and a playoff berth to KC when Rudd removed his helmet on the field to get a 15 yard penalty with no time on the clock giving KC a game winning FG. But even that one can’t compare.
LMAO!
Honestly if you want to discover what a scumbag this Burfict guy is, his Wikipedia page says it all. I have watched him since he was a dirty thug in high school (Corona-Centennial in Los Angeles), at Ariz State, and since he has been with the Bengals.
He is good, but pure scum. He is Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs, Conrad Dobler (going way back!) and in my mind represents all that is bad about the current state of the NFL.
So when he cheap-shot the Steelers receiver and cost the Bengals the season, it was absolutely in line with his thug life history. Maybe the Bengals will realize that character matters. Do we want choir boys and wusses playing in the NFL? Of course not, but the criminal element in todays NFL shouldnt be encouraged and even celebrated like it is now.
