Donald Trump on Monday defended his decision to support Bill Clinton when the former president faced allegations of sexual misconduct in the 1990s, but at the same time said Clinton is "one of the great women abusers of all time."
"Why do you call him one of the great women abusers of all time when you've said that the impeachment process against him didn't make sense, Monica Lewinsky didn't make sense?" CNN's Chris Cuomo asked.
"I had to, I was on their side," Trump replied. "Again, Chris, as a businessman I got along with everybody. So it was always important to defend people when I was, it was important for me to get along with the Clintons -"
"But it sounds like your morality shifts based on your motivation," Cuomo interrupted.
"[W]hen I was a businessman, they said I was a great businessman, a world-class businessman," Trump said. "I got along with Clinton, I got along with everybody. I got along with Harry Reid. I got along with everybody."
The billionaire businessman said it was important for him to rush to Hillary Clinton's side because he "needed votes for things," but added that he decided to criticize the Clintons after Hillary Clinton called him a sexist.
Trump argued that he no longer cares about Monica Lewinsky, the White House intern with whom Bill Clinton had a sexual relationship. But he added, "I think that Hillary was an enabler and a lot of things happened that were obviously very seedy." The former reality television star ranks second in the Washington Examiner's newest GOP presidential power rankings.
Look at the messes in our country. The game's gone on too long.
Would you also advocate that all the companies that paid off Jesse Jackson should have stood up to him and gone out of business?
“Reagan LEFT the democrat party in the early 60âs... then became a âviable (Republican) candidate in 1964â. The time between âearly 1960âs and 1964 is NOT that long a time period. Certainly NOT decades.”
You think Reagan ran for President in 1964?!?
“Reagan announced his intention to run in the Republican primary in January 1966, but he had toured California for the last six months of 1965 trying to determine if voters wanted him...”

Politics forces everyone into hypocrisy, lol. I’m a Trumpeteer too, despite his flaws as a man, because he is the one who consistently is speaking honestly and without apology. I seriously believe he will do everything possible to right the ship.
How is that an answer to my question???
Do you actually think that Reagan ran for President in 1964?
If you don’t, then your answer doesn’t actually pertain to my comment that you were responding to, as I specifically was talking about Reagan running for the Presidency. If you’re just going to post more irrelevant stuff instead of answering the question, then don’t bother.
I have no faith that Trump will adhere to his promises, either.
Or for that matter, any of the republican candidates including Cruz.
It is a game of pin the tail on the donkey.
I was going to challenge you on that conclusion, however, I notice you haven't bothered to defend your statements.
There is a lot of pressure on elected officials to evolve left. Some of the reasons it would be in an elected officials self interest are. 1) They will get more favorable media coverage. 2) They can appeal to more moderates. I assume you have heard the saying - run right for the primaries and run left for the general election. 3) More elites will like them and want to hang out with them and, in Trump’s case, do business with his companies.
In the primary election, Trump has to win a significant number of conservative voters. Once he runs in the general election, he will have to pick up some votes from moderate and undecided voters to win the election - thus it would be in his self interest at that point to sound more moderate. In explaining his past support of Bill Clinton, Trump has admitted that he will say things based on his self interest rather than what he truly believes. So, I am simply saying that since it is in his self interest to say conservative things at the moment can we trust that he really means what he is currently saying. Or is he just saying what we want to hear because that will help him get nominated.
Trump might be the first person in the last hundred years to go from being a private citizen with no government experience whatsoever to someone running for President.
GO TRUMP GO!
.
I wish he would go where he fits in.
One exception is progressive insurance. Big time delusional liberal owns it and is falling over himself backing hilllary.
Thanks for backing me up... and yeah, I know there are exceptions but for the most part companies want congressmen to ‘pick up the phone’ when they call.
Something that NEVER happens when a citizen calls...
“No, I don’t think he ran for President in â64... “
Right, so nothing you said really has any relevance to the comment you were responding to. Glad we cleared that up.
You are not alone.
We may not make billions, but what does it profit a man...?
If trump were running for governor of New York, and folks wanted him, then if he governed conservatively for eight years, then he’d be a credible candidate for the REPUBLICAN nomination for president. For now, he looks more like he should be in the debates with Bernie and hitlery..
Can I assume from your comments that you’re backing Jeb?
You’re young aren’t you...
