Time to move on. Too juvenile and too much name-calling. Not near the level of critical thinking that used to go on back in the day. I wish the best to all the good ones left out there.

It's one of the communist successes on par with identifying fascism as a "right wing ideology" that Chamberlain [and to a lesser extent, Daladier] get blamed for a wobbly foreign policy that started World War II.
The real truth is that the person most responsible for the aggressiveness of Nazi Germany was Josef Stalin. You'll find more people who know that per square inch on Free Republic than just about any other place on Earth.
More generally, your post is right. There are some asses here; I'm occasionally accused of being one of them because I don't suffer fools gladly. But none of it is personal in many cases; just strong opinion. And there are some very nice folks.
To FlJoePA, don't lose sight of a basic fact: anyone who claims Joe Paterno was a "pedophile enabler" is a moron whose opinion -- on any topic whatsoever -- is not to be taken seriously. Like the hysterical mob rule that sent so many people who ran day care operations to prison in the 1980's for "Satanic Practices," the actual truth about the Penn State "cover-up" is slowly coming out. It's highly unlikely that the idiots warming up their tar and lighting their torches will ever admit they were wrong. But that doesn't matter. They're wrong all the same.

You know, there once was a time when the use of alcohol was an accepted arrow in the quiver of the fine art of seduction. I mean, I watched all the old Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin movies. Now, you have to rely on .............roofies.
Now you have to rely on roofies.

Me too. Haven’t changed except maybe more ornery. But, hey,
If you can’t be yourself here, where then?

The “I’m leaving” people are on the same level as the “I don’t watch TV” people. Do they think anybody cares? And Joe Paterno? That’s your hero?
To: FlJoePa
See you later pedophile worshiper. You should have been banned back when you defended the indefensible. You probably diddle little kids yourself.

We should have an opus contest at FR. No really, I will start a thread tomorrow where you can post your manifesto. I am serious. Should be a real barn burner.

LOL! Wow, I would have definitely taken that as either a sign from God, or that the TV decided to commit hari kari before I could get to it.
