Something really big on radar @9:15 EST over Montana

No, not a conspiracy nut and don't know if Obama is Kenyan or not.

However, just checked www.accuweather.com on the large animated (saved a copy) radar to see this hellish weather in the upper Midwest and saw this phenom over Montana that was only 1 frame.

So I opened up an animation program, it's the third frame.

I hate to burst all yall’s bubble , but these weather radar images are a combination of satellite and local radar returns. What you are seeing is a local radar return that has been blocked by heavy precipitation , either rain or snow as seen by the radial rays emanating from the radar location

Those are called jam strobes. Usually those are filtered out, but if the right switch is left in the wrong position, post PMIs, they will show up during heavy weather. Or during sunrise and sunset.
