I am sick and tired of this site being taken over by Catholics ( of which I am one ) stories or proverbs. This is a news site not a religion site. Go do that somewhere else. I am not opposed to your prostilazion(sp), just not here. We lose credibility if any religious group dictates or can be quoted from this site.
As a long term member of this site I regret posting this information, but the site has been buried in Catholic stuff recently and it should be shunted to some separate page.

“Little Penguin” and “Barefoot” are good wines to drink, but not too expensive for cooking. Reds and whites are about $4.99 at the Super Walmart here. And “Yellow Tail,” about $8.99 in the 1.5L bottle.

I gained 0.8, during the three weeks since my last meeting. Frank wasn’t sick the whole time, thank God, but we had two very bad Tuesdays in a row.
I remember that Vlad was practically a permanent attachment at this age, and now he’s a Brother and ignores me most of the time ... so I’ll survive the Baby Frankness, too, until he becomes a Brother and leaves me all aloooooone ...

It’s my own short-hand metaphor for all the
duplicitous, heretical hogwash, idolatry, blasphemous, ritualized rationalizationed . . .
RELIGIOUS SYSTEM that plagues so much, saturates so much of, is the structure of so much of
the Roman Catholic Church centered in the Vatican.

Might have missed 3-4 times in 10 years when I was very ill.
Or was it when I was contemplating having lunch with you?

With all due respect, Mrs. Don-o, I fail to see the relevance of these presents.
While I’m sure that Peter was a fine Pastor (or Bishop, etc, all synonyms) to the congregation at Antioch, at the same time that James, half brother of the Lord Jesus himself, was Pastor of the congregation in Jerusalem, and to whom, by the testimony of Luke, both Peter and Paul deferred in matters of authority among the followers of Jesus, there is absolutely no scriptural evidence that there was any appointable office for any of them to pass on to their successors.
The epistles of Paul are the sole canonical testimony that provides insight to the process of appointing successive leadership to the various congregations, and all of that insight would indicate that their appointments were merely suggestions accompanied by letters of recommendation from the highly respected and revered apostles.
There existed at that time none of the hierarchy that was so denounced by the Lord himself. This is a key element that made the spread of the Gospel unstoppable, regardless of whom the governing authorities may hve captured and murdered.

Thank you so much - I know your prayers and your son’s are going to the front of the line! I’ve often prayed for you, especially when you’ve said KV had downturns in his condition.

Don't drink cooking wine. It almost always has salt added, and sometimes other preservatives as well, which render it un-vini-licious. In fact, don't
buy cooking wine. Don't cook with anything you wouldn't want to drink.
Any $2.79-a-bottle wine recommended by Tax-chick is better than cooking wine.
In my very, very,. humbnle, humble opinion.

I don't deal in decimals for pounds. If you've gained less than 1.0, it's zero.
On the other hand, if you've lost some Highly Signfiicant Fraction of a Pound, you're entitled to not just round, but extrapolate...

God Himself established hierarchies; there are pages and pages of it in the Old Testament, which are (like so many of the OT gifts and blessings) types and figures of what is planted in the New.
I don't expect you, within minutes, to see the point. But since heaven is full of heavenly hierarchies, I truly hope, with all my heart, that eventually you will.

My take on it is that there could be no effective hierarchy, or enforcement of orthodoxy, until Christianity received the blessing of the State.

There are differences between God’s hierarchies, and man’s.
For Christians, he said that each reports directly to the Father, through the authority of the Son.
