A remote area of the Amazon river basin was once home to densely populated towns, Science journal reports.
The Upper Xingu, in west Brazil, was once thought to be virgin forest, but in fact shows traces of extensive human activity.
Researchers found evidence of a grid-like pattern of settlements connected by road networks and arranged around large central plazas....

Golly. I don’t understand why folks find proof of ancient civilizations something to be wondered at.
Remember that God scattered the people of the world at the Tower of Babel. And there are 12 tribes of Israel, so where are the rest of them?
That’s right. All those farmers planting their fields to line up with the summer solstice, or is it 90 deg. from the summer solstice? Either way, it must be some pagan ritual.
Except for the Protestants, it's 45 deg. and no dancing allowed.
