Early stone tools developed by our species Homo sapiens were no more sophisticated than those used by our extinct relatives the Neanderthals.
That is the conclusion of researchers who recreated and compared tools used by these ancient human groups.
The findings cast doubt on suggestions that more advanced stone technologies gave modern humans a competitive edge over the Neanderthals.

Watch little kids....they learn without our input.
Or watch bears scoop up fish...They're much more efficient than a dude with a pole.
I think that you may be mistaken partly anyway.
Children are first and foremost observers. The constantly watch and listen to their elders try to mimic and make sense of what they do.
They then take what they have learned and try to put it to their purposes, make mistakes and learn.
Just think what they could have accomplished if they had only had http://geico.com to help them save on their insurance.
Check out some of their really advanced tools: http://www.cavemanscrib.com/
I tried this for a while with Democratic voters older than me. Eventually I realized they didn't have a clue.
That's not a tool, that's a warhead. This is evidence that the Neanderthals acted as spear stoppers for the modern humans.
If future archaeologists someday find sophisticated bomb and missile parts in the mountains of Afghanistan will they think the Taliban had this technology?
Looking for women-clubs. Understand these primitive men were in the habit of clubbing women .
We should ask Neanderthals about their tools! They are still around, as a matter of fact, they are in Denver. They changed their name to Dems, but they are Neanderthals!!
Oops, I insulted NEANDERTHALS, but compairing them to Dems.

The Neandertal EnigmaFrayer's own reading of the record reveals a number of overlooked traits that clearly and specifically link the Neandertals to the Cro-Magnons. One such trait is the shape of the opening of the nerve canal in the lower jaw, a spot where dentists often give a pain-blocking injection. In many Neandertal, the upper portion of the opening is covered by a broad bony ridge, a curious feature also carried by a significant number of Cro-Magnons. But none of the alleged 'ancestors of us all' fossils from Africa have it, and it is extremely rare in modern people outside Europe." [pp 126-127]

I wonder how much of this leveling of human and neanderthal is motivated by a religious desire to unseat homo sapiens as the crown of Creation.
Naturally it took a while to figure out how to make sophisticated tools. First you have to invent beer and the fridge so you can quaff the suds as you putter in the garage with your tools.
Tools, schmools, here’s the difference:
Neanderthal chicks were fat; Homo Sapiens had all the foxes. Haven’t you seen Raquel Welch in 1,000,000 B.C and Rae Dawn Chong in that other one? That was true stuff man.
Once you’ve had slim, you ain’t goin’ back, Jim
"The Quest for Fire". She taught the cave dude the missionary position.

Right! This was the introduction of ‘sensitivity training’ by cunning females, leading to their dominance. They have an overdeveloped part of the brain that has evolved for that.
Then they evolved speech before men and were able to utter crude sounds that began a long line of buzz words that trapped men and kept men in thrall. It is a Known fact that the first words spoken by our female ancestors were:
Does this cave bear skin make me look fat?
The species should really be called Womo Sapiens.
Personally, I'd prefer it if the species was called Hetro Sapiens.
But that's just me.
